  1. I watched the full interview on YouTube and what Howe said was, he was currently planning on Hall being here long term, he believed in him as a footballer but he has things to work on. Sees him as a left back long term. But he hasn’t at the moment hit the requirement for the transfer to be confirmed.
  2. Absolute shite. As was the Martian, read both. Fucker would have been dead within 30 minutes
  3. Comparison is the thief of joy and all that but last season we had a miraculous run with injuries, had barely any I can remember and not any long term ones. Not the case this season. At this point last season we were 10 points better off than we currently are. Not too bad. Admittedly we aren’t playing well at the moment, but that’s mainly down to confidence Imo. Football is such a confidence game it makes a massive difference and you can’t get confident in your game sitting on the treatment table.
  4. 442. Big man, little man, get it forward quick, proper wingers. Like football used to be. Oh we only have one centre forward, never mind.
  5. Galloway ran where I lived in Manchester years ago, he finished last in a majority Asian area. Shock horror
  6. We need to win a game fucking quick, this is minging discourse
  7. Think I have you all beat here, I spent the afternoon putting up a fence. I put the posts in yesterday while we were getting bummed, and fixed the boards this afternoon. I would rather have numerous soft wood splinters than watch Liverpool win a cup
  8. Fucking hell mate, everything alright? I understand the grind of being Newcastle fan but that’s bleak
  9. I started this comment taking about keeping goal but.. Based only on the motd highlights, Dubravka made two routine saves. Then slipped, which can happen to anyone for their first goal. He should have saved the second IMO, he didn’t move his feet well enough and Pope saves it tbh. Regardless, I’m one of Dan Burns biggest fans but he (read, his lack of pace) is getting targeted by opposition managers (see first goal today). I don’t think this is a Dan Burn problem, he is being asked to play left back and tuck in to allow Trippier to get forward, we all know this and now opposition managers have realised. Simply playing a different player doesn’t solve this, because it changes the shape of the entire team. Our back four is severely lacking in pace, all great players but no sprinters among them. So when we as a team play as high as we do (correctly imo) and try to win the ball high (again correctly), if we don’t win it back high then we very open to a quick counter attack with one/two passes. I think the issues with our defending are more to do with lacking big and little joes. They have high press energy, and nobody else in our midfield does, so we miss winning the ball high, preventing the quick passes behind our defence. This exposes our slow defenders. Sorry for the essay
  10. Wasn’t watching mate, have been out getting called a fat cunt by the tailor most of the day. Will have a look at the goals on motd
  11. Off to get measured for my wedding suit in the morning. Looking forward to the final nail in my football career as they announce at 39 and with a 36” gunt I’m not in prime shape anymore. It’s a sad but also positive day, I’ve held the position that I was ready to step into the first team for over 30 years and now accept i might be past my best, it’s their loss. Now I’ve hung up my boots I’m looking to take over a pub in the west end, so if anyone has any contacts let me know.
  12. He’s massive tbh, both physically and tactically
  13. The comedowns/hangovers are crossing timezones here like, snarky fuckers. Everyone can watch the same game of football and come up with different opinions, it’s why we all still watch. You are all wrong btw, I’m right.
  14. Been in Manchester for nearly 10 years, it’s a great place to live with generally decent (city/stockport fans) people. Still not sure I would count it as the “north”. People are just a little different the further north you go (better), but it’s not the midlands. The mancs don’t deserve being lumped in with those mutants.
  15. Not had a finger up my arse in a medical setting yet, looking forward to it though. My first cancer was ball cancer, I reckon 60% of the medical professionals in greater Manchester have gone eye to with or fondled my cock and balls. It’s on my CV
  16. I like my job, work in a small specialised team at quite a large company. We get left alone to do our work and no real hassle. I work from home full time unless I am out on site or at in person meetings. I did design my own job though so I’m sure that helps. I’ve never been one to stress over work stuff generally, but I’m still looking to stop as soon as possible though.
  17. If I can count, he’s won 4 “major” trophies in 9 years at Liverpool. Despite spending nigh on a billion quid. Not saying he’s shite or anything he’s obviously a great manager (and a prick), but that record doesn’t get close to touching some managers records
  18. Realise I’m lucky (or unlucky) but I got a lumper when my dad died so I paid the mortgage off last month. Looking to go down to part time well before 50 now
