Tend to think it was the perfect election result for Corbyn. He's more suited the adversarial role he's in now as leader of the opposition and can take the moral highground with impunity seeing as none of his policies are under the scrutiny of actual having to be put into practice yet he still has the credibilty of performing way ahead of expectations and removing a Conservative majority. Even with the way the press attacked him (or perhaps even because of that to a degree) and with the paucity of talent with the actual government I think his election 'success' has been slightly overrated. The Tories haven't exactly helped themselves since which has only served to further enhance Corbyn's reputation. I think he's been a positive for UK politics without a doubt but the cult like status you talk about bestowed by Momentum probably turns off as many, if not more, potential voters than it brings to Labour because many literally seem to think he can do no wrong. At least he's not a self-serving cunt like most of them

Agree with this although more generally I wonder if it's telling that only 2nd tier clubs seem interested in buying him.

It worked in Scotland and (had the equally desirous and opposite effect) England. Doesn't really take a genius to work it out. Or maybe I'm just under selling myself. You're totally myopic when it comes to the SNP anyway so I wouldn't have expected you to agree.

Would've required me to read it tbh

Generic small time football blather thread 2015/16

Don't know what he calls his bollocks, mate. -
They blatantly played along with the 'keep the Tories out at all costs' rhetoric knowing exactly how that would play out in England via the tabloid press, i.e. 'Red Ed' being a puppet of Sturgeon should there be a hung parliament. They did this because they thought a Tory government would suit them. Unfortunately for them it didn't work as there was still no great appetite for a second referendum because people had began to suspect their economic arguments were suspect to say the least. You could argue it was worse than what Labour did because it was duplicitous.

PETA should use that

It usually is anyway

No worse than the SNP in 2015 tbh

That's absolutely spot on. There's also the aforementioned factor of it only being considered because MOTD decided to make an issue of it. You either have a committee or some such who goes through every match with a fine-toothed comb, checking every single incident and (to the best of their ability) doling out equal punishments or you don't have that but then accept that MOTD or Sky etc. highlighting something doesn't equate to an incident being investigated. That's the only fair way to do it so instead, of course, they go for an unfair, half-hearted middle ground.

Funny because it's true

Her writing style is fucking tortuous like

Aye, that's another important point, i.e. £20m (despite making a healthy profit) gets you absolutely fuck all in terms of striking talent in the current market.
-
not too shabby, that

ATM, at least I think he's better off the bench. Been unimpressed when I've seen him starting games with his general play, movement and mobility and he seems to go missing in the 2nd half. Haven't seen him start a lot of matches recently admittedly though. I don't really want to write him off but the last two times I've been to the match he's started and been really poor

I reckon they should have a duel
