Good luck to the both of you, mate

Aye, he wants to get down with the kids and stick some Oasis on

Jinx!

Not to mention that they’ve just a bunch of local racists smashing up their own ‘city’ centre

It’s a reference to Robson but the bit about spitting on him is when he dropped KK from the England squad circa 1983? Although I doubt the facts matter to them much. They’ve got some brass neck calling out other fans for hounding out managers as well.

Who hopes Palace get relegated and Guehi leaves on a free?

It says it’s out of spite but do they know if the fish said anything to annoy them first? Makes you think

Is that the actual ticket price or is it just speculation?

Tbh it even felt quite manufactured at the time. The peak being the Blur v Oasis and who was going to be number one. I think I’ve mentioned it on here before but it came on the news about it when a few of us were round at my mates. We’d all have been in our early twenties and literally none of us gave a shite. Also I’m not sure how much in common, beyond being guitar based indie groups, a lot of the bands actually had with each other. Having said that, Oasis were undoubtedly a huge phenomenon. As evidenced by the amount of twats walking around looking like they simultaneously had a stone in their shoe, had shit their pants and were carrying two rolls of invisible carpet

Liam’s just a bit thick but Noel comes across as a proper cunt

Quite liked Definitely Maybe but I don’t think it’s aged that well. I like ‘Columbia’ and honestly that’s about it. I mean out of their whole back catalogue, not just their first album. But while I think their music is largely bland shite, it’ll be absolutely nothing compared to the horror that will be the audience at these concerts.

Some anecdote that first one. Also I assume they’ve invented a story that the Sunderland gull fucker is, in fact, a Mag and that’s now the latest RTG delusional comfort blanket. They’re top of the championship and that disallowed Bournemouth goal has still managed to ruin their weekend
-
Aye. He basically speculates a bit, throws in a couple of jibes (which they seem to think are clever, but are about as subtle as a brick). And, apart from that, says precisely nothing that isn’t blindingly fucking obvious. And of course the lap it up on RTG and say how great he is. They like Jonathan Liew too. I can’t think why

I think the first thing Hugo Blick was involved with was the hilarious (and now largely forgotten) Operation Good Guys

I always think Springsteen comes across as a good bloke but I’m not really into his music. I don’t dislike or have strong feelings about it in general. But I absolutely love that album. I think it was just demo tapes he did ahead of recording an album with the E Street Band and they convinced him to release it as was when they heard it.

You’ve got to feel for Alex Hurst though. He’d bargained on being an influencer who was given the inside track and delivering smugness about the behemoth that is Newcastle United. And now Staveley has fucked off and his rail tickets aren’t just standard class, he has to buy them too. And he’s just found out someone lied to him when they said the DLT look was cool. That’s before even mentioning spaniel chebs

That would’ve sufficed

There was a short-lived Chicago Pizza place in Newcastle (Malnati’s) opposite the central station. This was back in the early 80s I think. I remember going a few times with my mam and dad and the place having loads of American tin signs like you get in 50s-style diners. Which was very exotic for Newcastle back then They failed to break into the UK market but I think they’re still around, mainly in Illinois. There’s probably a good reason why that particular style of pizza isn’t particularly popular

Is the connection here that Captain Willard also needed a lift? -
I quite enjoyed Inverting the Pyramid. But it’s canny dry, to say the least and he does come across as a very dull fella in general.
