This is the one I was on about btw: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059125/

If he's got property in London he's quids in anyway, even if he isn't 'involved'. Most MPs have a vested interest in a London property bubble being sustained.
-
Can't you fucking read, Dave?
-
The only victory you should take is that I grew to hate Owen just as much.
-
The London property market is supposedly sustained, at least in part, by money laundering from foreign criminals. The government are meant to be cracking down on it but you'd have to question how much they really want to.

Someone else can do Viduka
-
Yeah. I'm not sure whether Martins could be called a left winger in that set-up either but although he did well he was a mercenary cunt with an appalling attitude at the same time.
-
Yeah, he played as a sort of withdrawn inside right. It was very clever because Keegan spotted that Owen still had good movement and could finish but was better arriving late from deeper positions because of his lack of pace / inability to play on the last defender. It was the last time Owen looked like a good player.

The Shining is fucking terrifying. The scariness of most horrors is ratcheted up several degrees if you're home alone watching them at night though. The old Hammer films too. Anyone remember that one with 'Fluff' Freeman and Roy Castle btw?

It was still seedy and rough in the 80s but you'd never have gotten the punk and hip-hop scenes without stuff like that either. Not the 'roughness' per se, just the affordability allowing lots of young people to be able to live there without having a job on Wall Street. Slight exaggeration but you'll take my point. There should be a happy medium but once the property developers get in on it it's game over. London's got similar 'problems'.

Generic small time football blather thread 2015/16
Alex replied to The Fish's topic in Newcastle Forum
They're all football teams anyway. -
Work ethic is one thing, attitude is another. You don't have to get on with everyone but HBA has caused a stink just about everywhere he's been. There's also the fitness issue. It's certainly debatable as to whether they'd have signed him. I certainly think they'd have gotten more out of him than a more rigid manager like Pardew though. KK especially. Look at how he got Viduka, Martins and Owen playing as a genuine front 3. Much more astute tactically than he was ever given credit for, especially later in his managerial career.

This sort of shit is the result of places like New York being completely unaffordable for the average Joe. So you get all these 'zany' rich types living in places like Greenwich Village who think they're being wild when in fact they're part of the reason the life has been sucked out of the place. Manhattan's a much nicer place for tourists to visit but when they cleaned it up the creativity was thrown out too. This is what counts for a 'scene' now.

High on being / been cunts more like

Used to be able to get Maggie Thatcher bog roll in the 80s. CT had some but only used it to get the spunk out his belly button.
-
Lynne Truss will go apeshit when she sees that.

Agreed. Especially given where elections are won and lost.

Doesn't that mean 53% can?

How much hardcore was used in the building of the Great Pyramids at Giza?
-
By the same token, if Robson or Keegan (like in his first spell as manager) were in control of transfers there's every chance they wouldn't have signed a player like that in the first place because of the baggage.

Even as an admirer of him I think he'll end up with loads of regrets regarding his own career and most of it (if not all) will be his own fault.
