  1. There's a kid I work with who is spot on and intelligent and what have you but he genuinely believes there's an agenda whereby Newcastle (the city that is) gets all the money in the region and Sunderland gets none.
  2. I think it's about how the argument is made tbh. The current government / coalition have borrowed ridiculous amounts of money but that's ok because they've convinced people it isn't a big issue. They've hardly done anything in terms of stimulating growth either but they've managed to convince enough people otherwise. And they were up against Ed Miliband at the last election.
  3. Love that Paul Johnson track. Takes me right back
  4. Every time I watch a scene from it I still can't get my head around just how bad it is.
  5. Should've used his phone
  6. I think it was harsh but there's no chance of it being rescinded. More chance of a longer ban for a spurious appeal.
  7. When you changed it to mean he was the main man it was a point that didn't need making. When you inferred he was the only striker option you were talking shite, as you later confirmed by pointing out what the other options were. As I've already made clear, it's your fault you didn't know what the phrase meant when you used it.
  8. By saying we'd put all our eggs in one basket with him, it was implicit that we didn't have other options though
  9. Don't know a lot about the legality but I would guess you can't copyright a magpie but the combo of the magpie and black and white stripes within the context of football and Newcastle constitutes a 'brand' which already exists. Although I would try and argue that Notts County got there first if the club try and come at it from that standpoint.
  10. Maths isn't my strong suit either like. I had to run it past myself a couple of times before I replied.
  11. Aye, unrecognisable until until the shades come off. Not that you have to stop critiquing that scene there. The book about the film by the bloke who played Mark, The Disaster Artist, is meant to be decent.
