  1. It's fucking horrible seeing club legends like him and Beardsley completely backing the regime and taking Ashley's money in exchange for trying to hoodwink the fans. The latter certainly can't be that desperate for the money
  2. Aye, Cameron's gone into hiding anarl. Bit like his number 1 fan on here
  3. Tories seem to be suffering from having no discernible tactics beyond pointed out David Cameron isn't Ed Milliband. Surprised at how the bookies still have them as odds on to be the biggest party as the polls over the last few months and the most recent ones don't seem to bear that out. If Labour hadn't lost so much credibility north of the border it would be looking like a foregone conclusion
  4. Michaela Strachan, when she was fit
  5. Like is wasn't going to be ruined by serving powdered alcohol.
  6. Even before he died the highly respected cricket writer Gideon Haigh described him as "perhaps the most influential cricketer and cricket personality since the Second World War." And I think you could say the 'perhaps' is as understated as the great man was. Also, as Jonathan Agnew pointed out, he was never one to hark back too much and go on about how much better cricket was in his day, unlike a lot of his peers in the commentary box. He always embraced new developments in the game which is why he always remained so relevant. I sincerely hope he enjoyed Australia's fabulous World Cup victory a lot more than I did
  7. Carver's inference that those boycotting aren't true supporters who love the club like he does sums up what a gobshite he is. He's more bothered about his own career than the good of the club. I don't mind that too much but it's the vomit-inducing rhetoric which accompanies it that makes him such a hypocrite

  15. Give The Outsider a go. Much more accessible
  16. Speaking of godawful reggae, I once saw Musical Youth at the Rec in town (now Eldon Leisure). Also got the autograph of the dulcet toned Paddy McDee from the Metro Radio roadshow at the same event.
  17. Think he'd always have been more suited to somewhere like Italy anyway.
  18. The programme itself encouraged kids to go out both wittingly and unwittingly
  19. Could be were shit at developing talent and/or had a manager in Pardew who wouldn't give him a chance. Just saying it's hard to judge youngsters here
  20. Space dust was what the Americans call popping candy, that stuff that crackles in your mouth. Used to love it. Had some chilli flavoured chocolate that had some of it in recently too.
  21. The "narrative" in the media seems to what a joke Ed Miliband is. What does that say about a Tory Party which has consistently struggled to poll better? That's a rhetorical question, CT.
