I don’t know about that. But I think she repaid Ashley the buyer’s loan. Wasn’t there a story that the Reuben’s had bought some of her stake in the club?

Wow! I remember reading several years back that it’s still a fairly regular occurrence for remains to be unearthed by accident on Belgium. By farmers ploughing fields and that sort of thing

He’s gone from being a Labour councillor to a Reform UK MP (via the Tories) in the space of 6 years. Tells you all about his principles (or lack thereof)

Thinking was Lee’s first mistake there

The litter where I live is a fucking disgrace like. The only people who ever seem to do anything about now are volunteers as well

Cheers! Been to 7 and haven’t heard of about 4 of them

Spent 3 nights in Venice a few years back. Like you say it’s easy to get away from the ridiculously expensive places around San Marco. We found a little wine bar locals went in about 5 mins from there that was really inexpensive. Same with places to eat if you’re prepare to walk another 5 to 10 mins. I got sone great photos thanks to my habit of getting up at ridiculous o’clock when staying in unfamiliar places. And like you allude to, the architecture is like nowhere else

What’s the full list for us non-Xers? TIA

When he rips the bloke’s throat out

Chilwell presumably gets in due to playing for Chelsea. I wasn’t sure what the plaudits for his performance were all about either. He just kept bombing on and leaving Maguire exposed, without creating anything of note in an attacking sense.

I watched Top Gun: Maverick after the football on channel 4. That was nominated for the best picture Oscar? I liked the original as a kid but the only reason I watched the whole thing is because I couldn’t quite believe what a fucking cheesy pile of shite was unfurling in front of my eyes. It’s fucking ridiculous. Maybe even more so than the original

Vicariously celebrating a stupid yellow card is about their level

Germany scored after 7 seconds v France too

Have they decided they like Jobe again then? I thought he was shite

Honestly don’t think anyone but Southgate would persist with that 4-2-3-1 with the personnel England has. Maguire still getting starts and still getting exposed too. He shouldn’t even be making the squad. I know it’s ‘just a friendly’ but it could’ve been 3 or 4 - nil

If the deep state existed to the extent they claim it does, how did they all become leader of their country?

Gallagher is just getting in Rice’s way most of the time. Even against Brazil the two DMs seems like overkill a tad.

A lot of people vote in self interest. They think the Tories make them better off. It’s only when they realise they aren’t better off that it changes. For what it’s worth I almost have more disdain for these floating voter types than dyed in the wool Tories but they definitely exist and are selfish. It’s telling that it’s took things to get this bad gif the Tories to be facing annihilation. What I don’t understand is when people who are £500 ‘richer’ a year don’t seem to realise they’re worse off of their kids schools are under loads of pressure, their mother has to wait for ever for a hip replacement, the public transport system is shit, and the roads are full of potholes etc.

It was getting Brexit done in part and Corbyn. Loads of traditional Labour voters were put off by him. I’ve mentioned it on here before I think but o know a couple who live in Blyth. They both voted Green last time round. They don’t like the Tories, would never vote UKIP, who were on the ballot paper then but couldn’t get away with Corbyn. One has an ex-Army brother and the other has a dad who served in the Royal Navy. Which was a factor in them being suspicious of Corbyn. I’m not really saying they were right or wrong but they’re natural Labour voters who were turned off by him
-
They were lied to though. I take your point but as we’ve said on here before it’s relatively easy to sell a bullshit vision of something that hasn’t happened. Whereas now they know they were lied to it’s different. The other thing is, which is opinion because I haven’t research to back this up, I think a lot of people who’s never even bother voting were motivated to vote in the referendum.

Yeah. ‘66 was a sea of Union Jacks. Anyone getting wound up by this needs to give their head a shake. Although it winds up all the right people so it’s all good

I remember you mentioning that at the time and I couldn’t help but see it every time after that
