  2. Fucked if I know. The mess we’re in now can be traced directly back to her. Particularly in relation to privatisation
  3. When you look at them they seem to be clinical in front of goal, in general I mean, although even last night they nearly got one at the death. But that’s it, that’s the only positive and the only reason they’re not at least half a dozen points worse off. There’s fuck all cohesion to their play. Hoying Maguire upfront was proper desperate Sunday league stuff. In fact it probably cost them as he arguably only took up that position for the offside goal because he’d been moved up there. I know Dubravka might’ve saved it, but for Maguire, but it shows the chaotic nature of their display
  4. I like Rashford and think he’s got great ability but I’d be seething if I was a Man Utd fan watching him jogging around the pitch like he did last night. He looks like he couldn’t give a flying fuck at the minute
  5. Yeah, it’s difficult to see how they could improve on him much with the current set-up
  6. They drew but reading their match thread Uncle Tony no longer appears to be flavour of the month. Also their players no longer seem to be quite as good. Fuck me, they’re fickle. They’ve spent absolutely fuck all, have no strikers of any calibre, are well above the relegation zone and just four points off the playoffs at the beginning of December. There’s loads on there saying a draw’s worse than a defeat because it keeps Mowbray in a job. Seriously Presumably recognising it’s down to the owners is Mag-like behaviour
  7. Bit disappointed Johnny Dumfries never made the list. Just to place the joke well and truly in its 80s heyday
  8. Elliot Erwitt died the other day too. Great photographer
  9. Rumoured to be the inspiration for PaddockLad’s Barnet. RIP

    What's next?

I think the only afterlife is the fungus / microbes / whatever that break you down if you’re buried. You’re physically transformed into something else but your life force or whatever you want to call it ends. I don’t know but that’s what I believe. Sometimes I’m at peace with it, sometimes it really upsets me when I think about it. I just found out an old friend has breast cancer. Prognosis is good but it’s less than a year after cancer took her mother. So I’m in the upset phase
  14. That’s the other thing. The members who pick the leader are well off middle-aged / old men (in the whole). They’ve been insulated from the issues of Brexit and the cost of living crisis in the main and last time round picked person they’d most like to shag / knock one off to. Sunak’s cattled but he’s a significant upgrade on Truss. But they’d have gone for Johnson again before Sunak. They’re possibly the only group in the country more out of touch than the parliamentary party
  15. Martin was still around for The Real Thing and Angel Dust. Which were commercially successful. Chuck Mosley left after Introduce Yourself, which was actually their second album, although I think their debut didn’t even get a CD release. I think Mosley might have been involved in writing The Real Thing but left before it was recorded. Introduce Yourself is a great album btw.
  16. I think that (amongst other things( has killed them as a party. Whether they can rise from the ashes remains to be seen. By that I mean they win the election on Brexit but only because it hadn’t happened. But when it did and it exacerbated the problems of covid and inflation, all they did was double down on the bullshit. I think it was Gemmill who said something about their being able to lie about the future but you can’t lie about the past and present when people have been hit in the pocket. McVeigh’s not particularly bright but she embodies the sociopathic, ideologically driven Tory party which, in doing anything to gain power, has ultimately caught up with them. Shame it took a decade and a half
  17. I don’t really think they were much cop post- Jim Martin and he was the most old skool ‘metal’ of the lot of them. His Sabbath-like riffs were what made them ‘metal’ imo.
  18. We’ve got a ‘Meet the Ministers’ call with John Glen and Esther McVeigh. Let me know if you’ve any questions you’d like me to submit 👍🏻
  19. If we’re talking metal then it has to be this pretty little ditty:
