  1. I’m not sure he knows what his best position is. Same goes for the manager. He likes to get on the ball a lot and I think he might turn out to be a central midfielder. But with the players we have and the system we tend to play, one of the wing positions is his best chance of game time / getting starts. Certainly in the short term
  2. They’ve also paid Facebook to make it look like the the Sunderland Amnesty International group had hardly any members (or activity) 👍🏻
  3. If it’s not us, which I don’t think it will be this season, I’d rather it was Man City again.
  4. It was a wasteland until it got that levelling up funding
  5. It would have to be a very safe seat for him to be parachuted into though. Unless things drastically change between now and the election. Which doesn’t seem likely. It would be nice to see him fail (again) at what must be his 8th or 9th attempt to become an MP. The repulsive cunt
  6. Reminds me of sone early 90s virtual reality video promo for some techno act
  7. Next week, Tebay Services (the vegan sausage rolls are overrated)
  8. Sunderland fans heading for the exits. They really are the most fickle cunts. I suppose it’ll make the atmosphere marginally less poisonous
  9. People are still falling for Sir Michael Take because his pisstakes are entirely in keeping with the sort of thing the Tories are regularly coming out with
  10. I just had a look on Heaton Stan’s instagram and (as well The Coast Road Derby) they were also calling it El Coastroadico presumably they’ve got Cockeyed Mala running their social media accounts
  11. Went to watch Heaton Stan v Benfield last night. I haven’t been to watch them for ages but was impressed by the standard especially giving the conditions. It had a bit of everything including a pen and a straight red. The home side were lucky to scrape a 4-4 draw in the end. I haven’t seen the official attendance but someone said there were over 700 there, which is fantastic for that level.
  12. Played for Brighton when they got to the cup final as well and lost to Man Utd in the replay (83?). I think they got relegated the same season. Brighton should’ve won the first match right at the death iirc
  13. My oldest laddie goes to this thing called Feet4Footvall which is all small- sided games and drills using a futsal ball. Anyway Sean and Matty Longstaff used to go and last night their Mam was there at the start of the session and gave a nice little chat about hard work and effort paying off. What a nice, down to earth lady she seems. I know, I know, good family. But it does seem like we have a great set of grounded lads who work hard for each other. I know we’ve got some too quality players we’ve brought in, if you look at Botman, Isak, Bruno, etc. But I love how we’ve got some local lads doing the business for us too who get what the city, club etc is about. I think that helps instil those values in the rest of the squad. Anyway, I’m rambling. But it’s fucking great having a side we’ve all got pride in who care, instead of a bunch of mercenaries
  14. I meant in that instance but agree re: Carragher in general. He definitely doesn’t like giving us much credit either
