the way they go on about him, man. The next Chris Waddle and all that shite. You’re genuinely talking about the sort of player who’ll do very well to have a career anywhere near as good as someone like Wayne Routledge. Which isn’t a dig at either player. Just highlighting how batshit crazy a fair proportion of RTG are.

Adam Armstrong has more goals and more than twice as many assists from less appearances this season. Which puts Clarke’s absolutely incredible numbers for 2023/24 into some context

Made a lovely green Thai curry last night, even if I do say so myself. I’ve sussed out that instead of trying to make it healthy I just have it instead of the occasional takeaway. So full fat coconut milk. And in addition to the paste (used Blue Dragon as it doesn’t contain fish sauce) I hoy in some dark soft sugar, plenty soy sauce, fresh lime juice, ginger, garlic, a squirt of sweet chilli sauce and sriracha plus fresh coriander and basil.

I think we can at least all agree that, if Trump does get back in, it’ll be Starmer’s fault

I thought for second goal, even though I’ve no idea where all that added time came from, it was soft. I thought it was a poor challenge by Miley. He could’ve gotten a big closer. You can maybe say he should’ve put his body on the line. But even if you think he was right to stay on his feet he should’ve got a bit tighter and he would probably make a better challenge by not turning his back. Obviously it was unlucky but the deflection, as opposed to a proper block, was made possible by the weak challenge -

I think the point about not changing things is further driven home by our not really looking troubled after Howe made the change to a back 3. -

If he’s going to persist with Burn, 3 at the back isn’t s bad option with personnel available -

You can understand that though. I.e. not wanting to trigger the clause so we have to spend that sort of money on a player that he doesn’t seem to rate. Especially with the FFP situation. -

Did Johnny Mercer used to be in the armed forces? I’m surprised he doesn’t mention it more often

One of my favourites is Tyson Fury using the excuse that his positive test for nandrolone was actually due to eating uncastrated wild boar -
That sounds absolutely fucking horrific

I love it when they come out with shit like “I was just in (for example) Vancouver airport with my Sunderland top on. And this bloke just came up to me and said I saw STID and now I am a massive lads fan. We are MASSIVE.” Which then gets about 200 likes.

@PaddockLad if I remember correctly you are partial to a drop of Cuban rum. At the minute you can get Ron Santiago de Cuba 8 year old in Sainsbury’s for £21 (if you have a nectar card snd use it when you buy it). I was in there last night but just had a quick check and the offer is still in. Personally I would rank it slightly above Havana Clerb 7. Either way it’s a bargain at that price
