Why would you think adding muscle mass to someone of his build would reduce the risk of injury?

@Dr Gloom I’ve been listening to this fella who is worth a follow on soundcloud: https://on.soundcloud.com/xsM22UQeDA74ZSAS7 His series of Jungle mixes based on releases from 1994 are particularly good. As he puts it: Oi oi. I've thought about this many times, and have concluded that my favourite era of jungle music, hands-down, is the spring/summer period of 1994. To me it wasn't quite so apparent at the time - I wasn't venturing out to proper jungle nights until later that year, and my view was polarised by a monogamous record-buying relationship with artists and labels that I semi-religiously followed throughout 1993 - the likes of Dee Jay, Skanna, Moving Shadow, Basement and Reinforced. However, with the wisdom of hindsight, and particularly after listening to loads of summer sets from the likes of Brockie, Ron and Jack Frost, the melting pot of sounds is obvious and utterly wonderful. Ragga jungle was suddenly everywhere and yet there were still elements of hardcore/rave - uplifting pads, chipmunk diva vocals - throughout the music, with DJ sets effortlessly transitioning from Nookie to M-Beat, Foul Play to Brainkillers, Tek-9 to Kings of the Jungle. Simply put, it was a great time and this is my tribute to it. As ever, enjoy!

Nicely combines two of my previous observations, I.e. even their fantasies are shite and that they often involve us being shit rather than them being good.

Was just thinking the same.

I know but he’s not exactly Roberto Baggio, threading balls through the eye of a needle to the centre forward in that position. When I’ve seen him play centrally it was in s different formation to the current one but he was the furthest forward of a midfield 3 and chasing and harrying. So playing as one of the ‘8s’ shouldn’t be a million miles away from that.

Was going to say. I know it’s only one match but Almiron and Gordon (also ‘shite’) were at a completely different level to Clarke. Roberts wasn’t available, which by extension makes him world class of course, despite not being as good as Clarke. I don’t think either have a single PL appearance to their name. They’re both kids who’ll improve exponentially though, being 26 and 23 respectively

Re: Almiron, I thought he had a really good game (albeit against lower league opposition) v Oxford away in the FA Cup in a midfield 3 with the two Longstaffs. I wonder if he could do a makeshift job in there on occasion to take the workload off young Miley a bit. Even with players coming back there’s only really Willock who’ll ease the burden on the midfield. And you would think he’d need to be carefully managed when he returns

An actual professional journalist (who isn’t the knight) asking if both sides were winners. In a scenario they presented as being one club v the other. The dozy cunt
-
I don’t know if you’d realised but he’s now destined to be world class again. This is after doing well in a home win against a team currently lying 19th in the championship. Feast or famine on RTG

All the kids’ haircuts look shit. It’s called ‘we are all getting old’ -
It doesn’t matter because we’ll build commercial revenue steadily. It just means our progress will be steady. It should also make the ‘lesser’ clubs realise they’ve shot themselves in the cock with their previous forelock tugging. You’ve already seen attempts to further hamper us getting blocked because clubs like Everton have woken up to the closed shop. This window has hammered it home to a few more clubs. It’s frustrating in the short-term but I think it’s unsustainable. But like i mentioned re the long term revenue increases, it’s pretty much win-win for us anyway

Had about as much pace as him too. Was hung out to dry playing up top here though in fairness
-
He’s got one of the thinnest skins in the league
-
As far as I can see the only thing that differentiates their ‘model’ from other skint championship clubs is the excessive use of the word ‘model’.
-
Aye. I’m sure they did. ‘But we’d just like another £10k before we wind things up.’ I wonder if they’ve considered a Wear Lingerie football tournament to raise funds (and awareness too of course)

The support dried up because copying the mags is mag-like behaviour. Or something

I think (don’t quote me on this) that for your ‘second home’, ie the London one, you can claim the interest you pay as expenses. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’d had some masterplan where his constituency home was interest only to reduce the amount of outgoings or sone such. That said I’m not even a so-called accountant.
-
It could be if he’d fixed at a very low rate previously I reckon.
-
Plus with the expenses he’d be able to claim it’s effectively a much higher salary than that.

What do you mean? You just fucking did! -
HMHM I would think retro second hand football shirts would do really well somewhere like that. Especially as I’m guessing a lot of it will be NUFC with the odd 90s Italiano classic hoyed in Have a look on https://www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk for an idea about prices. Honestly sone of the prices are fucking mental. I’ve got a kappa top that was part of a Juve CL warm-up suit. It’s like jogging suit material rather than shell suit. The bottoms got wrecked but the top is in good condition and I saw one the same on there a while back for £250 the hipsters might have ruined the market for buyers but that’s obviously the opposite for sellers. The only issue might be convincing people there aren’t snides from the far east

I like him purely for the reaction from the gammons every time his name is mentioned. Pissing on Man Utd’s chips is a bonus. But it’s a bit of a shame if he’s wasting his talent. I would’ve like to have seen what Guardiola would have done with him when Mourinho seemed like he was trying to force him out the door
