There’s loads of short stories, which I’ve read a fair few of plus the four novels I think (by Conan-Doyle anyway) but I think he only uses drugs when he’s not got the mental stimulation of a case to solve. But aye, opium use was fairly common place I think

I know it’s fiction but the Sherlock Holmes novels casually mention his injecting cocaine and heroin when he’s bored due to not working on an investigation.

Looks like he’s lost a bit of weight to me. I thought he bulked up and put on muscle he didn’t need, because he was already a unit, and it had an impact on his pace and his ability to turn. Obviously playing in a better side, working with a better coach etc., etc. all plays a big part in that. His attitude and work ethic must be class for Howe to have kept him around and to still have him as club captain too

Not really very different to an absolute dinosaur talking about it. For me, it’s more a problem having them on just because they’re female. And by that I mean some are really good, others offer very little.
