  1. Best part is he’s tweeted that thinking it’s good
  2. Still wearing his sheepskin coat I bet. RIP
  3. At the West Ham match some bloke was claiming to have tickets for sale for £1,000 outside the near where Percy Street meets Gallowgate. No idea if he was being serious but he was selling those Newcastle/Wembley scarves someone posted a pic of on here. I can confirm they’re just as cheap and nasty looking in the flesh
  4. Got through 10 seconds of that before having to pause it
  5. Grossly unfair. Ringo is underrated
  6. I was asking my lass what happens if the (only) pilot has a heart attack she was just smiling back as you had to scream at the top of your voice to make yourself heard, so she couldn’t hear a thing anyway. I’ve literally flown hundreds of times and I’m still not that keen tbh
  7. I went on a small sea plane in Canada once (Vancouver over to Victoria on Vancouver Island). It felt like about 2 minutes after take off it was still only 6 feet off the water
  8. I mean you are in the highlands there. It’s where they start. What you need to consider is how long it actually takes to get to places when you’re up there. The distances are (obviously) a factor but it’ll take you longer to drive than you think on top of that. In remote parts you’re talking single track roads with passing places. I’m not trying to put you off because it can be incredibly beautiful. But consider that in any itinerary. E.g. Highland Perthshire,(which is relatively close / good roads compared to somewhere like the western isles) is still a 4 hour+ drive from Newcastle.
  9. It’s not often you’ll see Real Madrid beat Liverpool on the same night Barcelona lose to Rotherham
  10. I’ve been to Loch Lomond for a wedding once. It is beautiful though. I’ve mainly done further North and sone of the islands. You’ve got the Trossacks there too which I’ve really seen from the air properly but are very scenic. I’ve skirted past there normally. It’s mad how in that part of world how quickly you’re into the Highlands though
  11. It’s all starting to make sense now
  12. I hope you remembered to reverse the polarity
  13. Just to really take the piss he reckons the west caused the war to mask domestic problems caused by widespread corruption
  14. There’s an article about that on the Beeb website. It mentions Europe not having the same issues whilst explicitly stating Brexit is (have a wild guess) NOT to blame
  15. They’ve joined NATO but (I might be wrong here) but I think the only time they’ve hosted nukes was when they had soviet ones pointed at the west
  16. I don’t think any of the former Soviet /Iron Curtain states in NATO have nukes
  17. He has a point in a sense re: western involvement (through economists advising those, namely Yeltsin and Gaidar) in the transformation of the Russian economy. Or the post Cold War ‘humiliation’ by the west as he puts it. Those in charge could’ve stopped it at any time though. Especially after it was obvious it was a disaster for virtually everybody. Yeltsin even went against his own parliament. Apart from creating the environment for the oligarchs to basically buy up every industry going. For a fraction of its worth. It also meant that almost all the political power was put in the hands of the president. The oligarchs then chose Putin to be the next president. Almost all of those crimes against the Russia people were committed by Russian corruption. Bush Snr and Clinton fully supported Yeltsin throughout though. And look where we are now
  18. Even allowing for the translation, he just talks absolute fucking drivel
  19. Also can’t believe no one has yet mentioned he was up before the beak
  20. At least he turned up at the magistrates’ court in his best gear to make a good impression
