I saw a talk in with Lee Clark what seems like ages ago now but it was before Sean Longstaff had properly broken into the first team under Benitez and he was absolutely raving about him. Saying he had the ability to be a real top class midfielder. Obviously that’s just one person’s view of a young player but you have to think (especially after what’s come out since) that he had a pretty torrid time under Bruce. Did that cunt improve a single player? He was completely incapable of doing what most decent managers take pride in.

I was actually lucky enough to see them in the wild on that holiday. But I wasn’t on a kayak, fortunately there’s been a few sightings off the Northumberland coast in recent years. I saw loads of humpbacks on that holiday too.

I did it in the pacific off the coast of Canada. The company I did it with advertised regular orca sightings including promotional photos of them coming right up to the kayaks. I was thinking “I hope that doesn’t fucking happen today”. It was an amazing experience though. Did it here
