I also think injuries and suspensions mean we might be better off tweaking the system but Howe doesn’t seem to want to deviate from tried and tested 433
-
i agree, particularly if Bruno gets a two match suspension and we don’t loan any midfielders last minute because we don’t have many options other than moving trippier, hall or schar into midfield or throwing in one of the kids - both seem unlikely
-
Playing off the front man is probably his best position but we don’t really play that system.

If something is negotiated you can be sure it will be done in a way to keep the established elite at the top. An increase in the amount you can spend as a percentage of turnover so the “big six” can spend an extra £50m or so and the rest of us it’s about half that amount.

Ramsey looks exactly the sort of player Howe would identify. But surely he’s going to be around £50m and we apparently don’t have a pot to piss in. Where are these bargains from overseas that Ashworth was brought in to identify?

JR Hartley spinning is to victory away in India on debut is boys own stuff

This is gripping stuff. They need 40 runs, we need a solitary wicket. JR Hartley has had a blinder

I post on here loads during my working day. My job is project-based, so I have a deadline every 6-8 weeks or so. I’m pretty good at managing my time and am the most productive person on my team, completing more projects than my colleagues every year. I reckon this is precisely because I don’t work all hours of the day flat out. I alternate between getting my head down and rewarding myself with little bursts on here or twitter. I think I’m undiagnosed adhd, because I struggle to focus on a single thing for too long. If I didn’t give myself little rewards after burst of work, I’d get bogged down and would be less productive. I’m convinced of that. I tend to post less when I’m out in the field reporting and as I’m nearing deadline. I don’t look at posting on here or scrolling through Twitter as slacking though. I always hit my deadline and I will work in evenings and weekends as I near my deadline if I need to. There was a period when I wasn’t enjoying my role so much but it’s changed a lot in the past 4 years or so and I’m in a good place at the moment.
