Sounds increasingly like Trippier could be on his way to Bayern. Genuinely gutted about this one. I know there's no room for sentiment if you want to be a top club etc but he's been the key player since the takeover. I hope those in charge know what they'e doing.

Harry is playing an absolute blinder in the traitors. Paul thought he was the daddy but the real puppet master has stepped up to the plate the last couple of episodes. The Welsh bloke is exactly the sort of useful idiot he needs to shield him to the final.

As much as it pains me to say it, getting rid of Tripper at his age is probably smart business if it frees up the FFP headroom so we can get someone else like Kimmich in. But you can't underestimate what he has brought to the club - both on and off the field. We're lucky that we have Tino coming through but I'm pretty sure Howe would rather we didn't sell him. I don't want to see him sold, I saw him joining Eddie's backroom staff and potentially being groomed as a future manager - is FFP really constraining us to this extent? So much of our play still goes through him down our right side and he's been our de facto captain since arriving.

guilty. I was caught up with his socialist pitch after years of boring centrism but he lost me with the way he handled the antisemitism stuff. On reflection, he’s an absolutely terrible politician. He never graduated from sixth form debating clubs. And he played a big part in the decline under the tories, helping facilitate Brexit and guiding Labour to a catastrophic election defeat in 2019 - he was never fit to lead and I admit I didn’t see it at first.

I think it’s too late. He’s gone. It’s quite remarkable, in hindsight, that he was ever Labour leader.

I accept that Lascelles is in the bracket of player we will have to move on at some point but i disagree that Burn is a similar level based on what we've seen this season - he's a couple of years older too. Krafth is very much a utility/4th choice. if they do let JL go, you'd hope they've got Schar's long-term replacement lined up for the summer, and Schar becomes a rotation option.

and one thing this season has shown is we need more strength in depth - not less

I think letting him go weakens the squad too - unless they have a new CB lined up for the summer window.
