Well I never thought the success of the team on the pitch was a priority for him. I felt his main concern was turning his expensive investment into a saleable asset. Plus he seemed in contempt of the supporters. I'll never forgive him for renaming the stadium. Because of that I wanted him out. Now, for the first time since the Keegan debacle, I'm not sure. I'm still certain there must be a better owner out there. But I'm interested to see if he continues to build the team. The foundations are there now. The key question for me is whether we see another window in the summer like we did in January. If he does still have an eye on the exit, he won't get a better price than this summer if we do finish 4th.

So who actually thinks we will finish 4th?

Me too. The form book says we're favourites but the cynic in me is doomed to disappointment. Either way, I'm not going to get too down. What an amazing season. Whether its 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th. Unbelievable stuff. The big question is whether we can challenge the top 4 again next time around. Or if this is a fluke season. -
Do you think Ashley will sell the club? And more importantly would you now want him to? I've felt for a while Ashley has been focusing only on his exit strategy - his main aim has been to cut costs and make the club as attractive an investment as possible to give him the biggest return possible when he does finally sell. Up until now, no one has come in. He overpaid and we didn't look an attractive proposition at the price the owner would want. But surely now, if we do qualify for the CL, with one of the best wage/turnover ratios and reduced debt, that might not be the case. But does Ashley still want to sell up? Has this season reignited his passion for the club? And will we see more transfer windows like the last one where we report a net spend instead of a net profit on player sales? Has our unexpected success this season changed your view? Would you like to see how things pan out under the existing owner or is a takeover still the preferred option?

I'm beginning to believe -
Tastes so sweet this humble pie like. I'll have it for breakfast, dinner and tea if we finish in the top 4
-
Surreal is the right word. I keep finding myself day dreaming about the champions league. When you look at the league and the recent form, we're favourites for 4th. Unbelievable

Tarabt sent off. 10 minutes to go. Hold on you Rs!

I thought we'd struggle too. No one saw this season coming tbf

....everybody knows his name!

Up to 48%. Howay lads. Do your bit for our Polish brethren if you haven't already

Full strength side and the confidence is flowing. Great performance. Got to feel slightly sorry for perch. He's done nothing wrong, been a standout player in recent games but finds himself on the bench. I never thought I'd say that. And I never thought Perch being dropped would be a sign of the increasing strength in our squad. Good stuff. How will Spurs react if we hold on to this result? Will they bottle it at qpr? I fucking hope so.

got to wonder whether spurs will be able to keep that side together if they fail to finish top 4 two years running. could see bale, modric, VDV et al all walking.

corn flour for instance. no need for it in a salad dressing. same goes for sugar and honey. imo
-
why buy it when you can make it? a home made version will be better for you and almost certainly taste better. plus it's fresh
-
home made french dressing is the easiest thing in the world to make and makes an otherwise dull salad interesting. three parts extra virgin olive oil to one part dijon mustard and one part white whine vinegar. add salt and pepper. and half a clove of finely chopped raw garlic (if you like a bit of extra kick). these days, i quite liker to simply dress my sald with a premium, unfiltered oilve oil and seasoning. simple, fresh as fuck and delicious.

another very good piece from brooker. i'm a big fan of his work. i strongly agree that anyone who strongly objects to homosexuality in this day in age is almost certainly using their public display of digust as a defence mechanism in an attempt to supress their true feelings. leazesmag is a closet bender basically.

the kiss of death from the pudding of the prediction world

is there really a market for this?
-
Get rid of xisco, smith, lovenkrands and other dead wood that shouldn't be near the first team. Replace them with players that go straight into the first team. Over to mr Carr for that one. We won't be signing the big name players that agents are touting around in the media so no point speculating these days really is there?
-
I'd go for something else ahead of either of those switches happening.
-
So who's filling the other 40'000 seats? Suits

I used to like the Dragon House for Chinese, Sachins for Indian and Francesca's in Jesmond or Mario's in the bigg market for Italian. Fuck knows if they're still the places to go. I didn't recognise a single boozer or restaurant last time I was home. Cafe 21 is (was) canny if you fancy something a bit more up market.

Didn't everton and Liverpool both qualify the year that Liverpool won it and everton finished 4th, with Liverpool outside the top 4 in the league?
