Below shearer, cole, bellamy Ferdinand, tino and pedro to name a few. I'd put him alongside owen in terms of what he did in a black and White shirt - a decent goals to games ratio but not a lot. The sickener is we won't get to see him realise his massive potential.
-
you're not really answering the thread question are you? We've heard this line from you a million times before and you're right but do you think he'll succeed at Liverpool? I was wondering as well whether he'll fit in with their style of play. They're not really a lump it up to the big man sort of side.
-
I don't want to sound bitter or owt but there must be a good chance he doesn't succeed at Liverpool. Massive expectations on his shoulders that come with a massive fee - a lot to live up to for a young Geordie charver prone to getting up to trouble off the field living away from his hometown for the first time. Will he flop or succeed?

I could counter with the winkle-pickers and the man bag, only I'd be telling the truth. Nowt wrong with man bags, I bet 8 out of 10 people have one on here, yourself included. I dunno about that. I'd put my mortgage on you having one now though

Liverpool bid £35 million+ for Carroll

anyone got a link to pardew's presser -
Strange but true. The more pessimism like this I see, the quicker it helps my eternal optimism bubble back to the surface. 6 months ago we brought two great quality players in. Even the great Man U lost Teves and Ronaldo All clubs lose big players. Unfortunately this is part and parcel of modern football. And remember, over 50% of this forum think we were right to take the money. (not me btw). Chin up and get a happy avatar man. it will only have been right to take the money if a large percentage of it is reinvested. that remains to be seen but i'm not holding on to much hope there, unlike that tiote's nutz loon

what a lot of bullshit that line is. as if he wouldn't have gone to man u, chelsea or real madrid ahead of liverpool if they'd been in for him -

Pardew said he was 4-5 weeks from fitness in the press conference today. I wonder what else he was lying about. if he does return for the next game he'll lose all credibility. i'd say the same for the club if it wasn't already the case. He has no credibility already. If he wasn't lying about Carroll, then he was the unwitting patsy of FMA and Diamond Dekka. Either way he doesn't have a clue what's going on above, just like Kinnear. i was talking about carroll but the same could be said for pardew tbf -
it's fucking fine mate. get her telt.

launches tonight for those of you that feel the need to be cheered up.

nufc. here to fucking amuse you
-
well you can either laugh or cry i suppose. i've gone through the whole range of emotions in the past 24 hours. disbelief led to misery then anger and finally a begrudging acceptance that has left me bitterly amused at the whole situation. fuck it. it's just a game (as mrs G always likes to tell me). i'm planning on getting shit faced at craven cottage tomorrow, serenading super shola and sticking two up at mike ashley.

is this the shitest selection of strikers in your lifetime?

Dreamland them 3 compared to ours. shouldn't laugh really. -
how many times lads? you can lose weight and still be fat. losing weight is not the holy grail if you want rid of your love handles. you can cut fat and not necessarily lose many pounds.

or you sell him, but you make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to get in a suitable replacement or two. -

has to go to 5 in midfield when ireland's back. lovelyhands and best are bench warmers at best in this league.

shola 'the fenham pele' ameobi leon 'simply the' best nile 'dutty custard' ranger peter 'wasn't quite good enough for the SPL' lovelyhands honestly, i'm struggling to remember a shitter batch than this lot. even in the dark days in the 80s or 90s, we had someone like micky quinn who could bang them in. shola ameobi our front line forward for fucks sake.
