  1. I was thinking really positive thoughts too.
  2. Bollocks. He's been crap. Offered nowt. If you're good enough, you're old enough.
  3. Barton has had a stinker today. Ranger even worse. Only Enrique and jonas have looked up for it. Never been in it since they scored
  4. with enrique, nolan and tiote all missing, we'll do well to get a point here. a lot will depend on whether the pressure villa are under will get to their players. you look at the available sides on paper and with villa being at home, they're favourites.
  5. he's been a match winner on more than the odd occasion. sad indictment that he's one of our better senior players mind. ideally he'd be 4th choice striker coming off the bench
  6. got to be tiote. he's the glue that allows others to play. our first ever proper modern defensive midfielder that can start attacks, spray balls around and score long range screamers as well as keeping an eye on the back door. we're able to boss the midfield area with his defensive work and that allows the likes of barton and nolan more space. we'd be relegation fodder without him imo. buy of the season and it'll be no surprise if a more ambtious club makes ashley an offer he can't refuse for him.
  7. not sure i agree entirely. bellamy was different class for us and he didn't score many goals for us. agree shola has massively under achieved but he still has the odd good game and he's not a bad squad player to have. to be fair, he's probably the best striker on our books at the moment. thought hat speaks volumes about the quality in the rest of the squad obviously
  8. lebron james is the next michael jordon tbh. and i know next to nowt about basketball
  9. simple - two year deal with an option of a third.
  10. it was a tiddler compared to last time. tsunami warning cancelled
  11. look at the quality of that cctv man - it's piss poor. good luck identifying them
  12. what was the context? i can't be bothered to re-read it all. did he say united vs newcastle? that would be irritiating but even then, hardly the crime of the century.
  13. a blatant final pay day. should have doen it ten years ago when they weren't all old and wrinkly. that said, i'd definitely go to see them. went to the blur reunion gig on hyde park a couple of years back and that was qualty. didn't matter that they had all got a bit wrinkly and fat
  14. He doesn't give a shit does he? Capello reckons he's a disruptive influence. He's not going to win him over by slagging senior England players. We should give him a new contract mind
  15. Tiote. We'd be in a relegation battle without him. Kudos also to Barton and Nolan. I thought they were both finished at this level before this season. Happy to be wrong on both counts. Well done Enrique also for carrying on last seasons good form.
  16. all religion's a load of crap at the end of the day innit.
  17. i used to get takeaway curry from the brighton grove back in the day. nice place
  18. just delete all the shepherd v ashley threads. that should sort it
  19. no, do tell. sounds dodgy. just did an hour's boxing at the gym while my work mates were eatign lunch on the southwark cathedral garden in the sun. it's good to be back
  20. weird. seems this thread is some kind of portal to the past
  21. he's done enough to ensure he stays at the club next season. i'm not convinced he's ever going to be good enough to be more than a squad player but he looks a lot better than he did when he first arrived. like a lot of strikers, he seems to be a confidence player. once he got a goal he was off so maybe now he believes he's good enough to play for us, and that can't be a bad thing.
