good episode last night. you could tell cruise is a petrol head. he came across much better than when he was on jonathan ross. suprised he got the top lap time mind given the last corner was taken on two wheels! the senna piece was class too. he was a bit of a schumacher mind when it came to barging opponents off the road. shocking what he did to alain prost when all he had to do was make sure he didn't finish to secure the championship.

Not really. It improves the depth of the squad, and means we potentially get a highly-rated player for a season. Confirms our status as also rans though doesn't it. If he turns out to be good, he goes straight back to man u. If the board had more ambition we would be looking to spend a bit instead of just picking up freebies and leasing the big clubs' young prospects. There's still a bit of time left for us to invest a bit before the window shuts but if we carry onwith this strategy I think we're going to struggle.

As far as I know he's never played central defence and is far too weak and probably too small to play there. He can play right back tho, but his future is as a attacking central midfielder. Unfortuantely with him not being back till xmas and then the period it always takes a player to get back to full match fitness after such a long time I wouldn't hold out much hope of seeing him contribute much until about march time. Could be handy to have a player capable of popping up in dangerous positions if you're struggling at that stage of the season. Like I said tho don't expect too much from the lad until next season at least... and even then he'll never be a world beater. As nice as a world beater would be a bottom three beater will do for now aye! we're feeding off scraps at the moement. an everton reserve will do nicely

happy for carrol to wear number nine. he looks a more credible bet than shola and could devlelop into a decent striker with the right kind of support players around him. we are crying out for a couple of door openers in midfield and a pacey second striker to play off him.
