Chairman Responds To Latest LMA Comments
Dr Gloom replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
if shepherd was in any way professional he'd have kept his fat gob shut. another pr masterclass from our chairman....he's a laughing stock. instead of learning from his mistakes he shoots himself in the foot yet again bringing further embarrasment to the club. -
Chairman Responds To Latest LMA Comments

jesus wept! -
what a wanker. he's more of an embarrasing uncle that you don't want to introduce to your friends than a football club chairman. how can he be expected to be taken seriously when he continues to come out with such drivel?
-
we should get rid imo.

I'm sure it was annouced the Milburn statue was moving just two days ago. As for the Shearer statue, frankly it's an embarassment. 135196 almost as emarassing as shearer's bar

jimmy nail is to be unveiled as director of football on monday

absolute gash tbh. especially against celtic. i expected some kind of select eleven of former toon/england team mates. at least sir les will get a big shout
-
that's a banker tbh. probably at the start of next season or a day after the january transfer window closes.

i agree. to me the squad is pretty exciting - especially if owen and rooney make it. walcott might be worth a punt. i'd have taken defoe instead of jenas or hargreaves - 4 strikers is a bit light when two of them are injured and i don't see why we need 9 midfielders unless we're playing 4-5-1. i wouldn't fancy having to rely on andy johnson for goals and darren bent must be a bit gutted to be fair

what a twat.

god what a depressing thought. the fa might let us off to save face. either way i can't see anyone but roeder getting the job at this stage

Shepherd Disappointed At Journal Article
Dr Gloom replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
shepherd really doesn't have a clue does he? why does he have this obsession with recruiting geordies? he's deluded if he really thinks we all want a team of geordies managed by a geordie. we want the best man and backroom staff for the job - not an old boys club. we're not a fucking charity! -
True. 131203 By Shepherd. Is it getting through yet? Backing the manager is no good if it's the wrong manager. In fact, the one time Shepherd should have been 'keeping his powder dry' he backed the manager with unprecedented funds. That coupled with Souness's pay-off may well have fucked our chances of getting anyone decent and probably means we'll have to sell before we can buy, despite the threadbare squad. 131209 The "Hindsight" stick or the "McKeag/Westwood" stick? Which one do you want to be punished with? 131211

7th or 8th will still be a decent effort after the mess souness left us in
-
a bit ott but i agree with the sentiment

jesus wept! just what exactly has coleman done to deserve the job? nearly taken fulham down two seasons on the spin....nice one chris

funnily enough, i think we're more likely to do better in the world cup without rooney in the squad. not because we're losing our best player but because it will force sven to pick the right formation to best adapt to the players at our disposal. it's a shame that it had to be roony to pick up the injury but at least now sven will surely go for a 4-5-1 with gerrard and lampard ahead of a holding player. crouch/defoe/bent aren't good enough to merit a start so we should see the end of lampard & gerrard in the middle of a 4-4-2. that formation would always come unstuck against the top teams with or without rooney but sven is so scared to drop any of his big guns that i reckon we would have gone with it if rooney was fit. ashton looks one for the future but sven hasn't fancied him so far and we've run out of friendlies.
-
who cares? it's only england. i'd rather see newcastle win a throw in than england win the world cup etc etc ad nauseam
-
what's the bet we sell him at a loss?
-
I'm hoping he becomes a suicide bomber in the name of Al-lan. 128291 i almost spat my coffee at my monitor after reading that
-
i think he could still come good with some more movement ahead of him or if we play him ina different system. i agree he doesn't get in the box enough for the attacking midfielder in a 4-4-2 formation but i reckon he would be perfect on the left of a 3 man central midfield with three forwards ahead of him. he's definitely worth hanging on to, despite losing his way a little after a promising start.

nice to see our midfield chipping with a few goals again. nobby and n'zogbia have both done well this season. i expected emre to chip in with a few more like but he has had a few injuries...
-
i'd like to see him given a few games alongside owen next season. he's done well this season despite playing for the majority of it with a hip injury. i still have doubts over whether he'll ever be good enough to play week in week out but he's certainly not as bad as some make him out to be and in my opinion is a decent squad player to have.
