  1. gutted for him that he couldn’t find the finish after that mazy run in the box. Would have been a dream way to go out. But he had to hit it on his right from a tight angle, so never likely to score
  2. He and ASM were standout players in a poor team. He played out of his skin when we finished fourth. He always had pace to burn but he managed to add some absolute wonder goals in the process. Great memories. He worked as hard as anyone else in the team. Shame he couldn’t keep that form going and it is clearly the right time for him to move on but I loved his attitude. Good luck with the next chapter Miggy!
  3. It’d be absolutely class if it’s us, forest and Bournemouth making up three of the top five. Sky wouldn’t be able to cope
  4. Workmanlike performance. Did enough to beat a poor Southampton team. Never really got out of second gear again after the third went in. Job done
  5. game management/protecting players. Not as much running required. Seems to be the new game plan of late. Press with intensity first half, get the game won then sit back
  6. Looks like we’re happy to sit back and hit in the break to conserve energy but then we almost just let them in.
  7. Walker Peters should be playing for a better outfit than these. Their only player who has caught the eye really
  8. We’re getting caught offside loads, which is always annoying. There are more goals in this for us but we’ve been a bit sloppy in the final third. Passing a bit loose
  9. Soft pen. Id be annoyed if VAR gave that against us. Take it all day though
  10. When I said an early goal would be nice I wasn’t suggesting we gift them one
  11. Kits clash quite a bit. You’d think black and white would be better
  12. Early goal would be nice. These are here for the taking
  13. Gordon looks like he’s growing a tasty mullet
  14. so sorry to hear about your loss. My closest friends went through something similar last year and there really aren’t any words. Massive congratulations on the new addition!!!
  15. you’re right, we can’t compare eras. doesn’t stop us from doing it though
  16. I lived in Newcastle during that era and I remember keegan as fondly as you do. The whole town was buzzing when the entertainers were in their pomp. I was a teenager at the time and fell in love with the bloke. The thing that evaded Keegan which could elevate Howe in how they’re regarded in the history books is silverware.
