Riviere is strong but doesn't look very composed or accomplished, but the occasion might have gotten to him a bit. Whilst we haven't bought a proven goalscorer, Cisse coming back and the two other lads look like they can push for a place. Competition is something we haven't had up front for a while, just reliable old Shola happy to sit on the sidelines. Hopefully they'll all push each other. And to add a negative bit to my post for MT's benefit, don't look too much into yesterday's performance as an indicator of how we'll play this season. We're perfectly capable of doing well against bigger teams (Chelsea, Man Utd last season) then looking absolutely garbage against dross. Can't wait for next week though, intrigued to see how we fare.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
ClubSpinDoctor replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Of course I want us to win. He won't get the chop either way so it's a pointless question. If you're asking if I'd sacrifice today's game on the promise that he'd get the boot then I think everybody would, with the exception of contrarians.- 10610 replies

But he's praised us in the transfer market. He advocates it. Run along.- 10610 replies

I'd be happy with a manager that expects to win every game. The bloke's a fucking loser.- 10610 replies

He's praised our transfer activity though, if he hasn't got enough Premier League experience amongst the squad to expect a better than 'even' start, then it's a contradiction. Look, he's a fucking massive bell end. There's plenty wrong with his quote.- 10610 replies

Not a lot stupid with it? There's pressure on him to start well and instead of coming out saying he's determined to start well, he's saying he's expecting a so-so start He's a fucking prick, stop fishing.- 10610 replies

"so I am kind of preparing myself for an even start, if I am honest" excuses before the season's even started I don't just want him to fuck off, I wish excruciating physical pain upon him.- 10610 replies

Can't see him being there at the end of the window like, not without a pay rise or something anyway Doubt it'll be us that gets him though. -

Funny, I didn't see you agreeing with me at the time. If it was so bleeding obvious, why was I the only one saying it whilst everyone else was getting carried away with themselves. These people praising the club's business deserve to have my wisdom rubbed in their noses. Any future hint or suggestion of Ashley praise will get the same treatment, I'm more than willing to make the sacrifice of being 'twattish' to nip it in the bud -
I was playing live roulette online last night a bit half cut. I was doing pretty well, a few hundred quid up. Selected what I thought was a £2.50 chip to increase my bet with and started plastering it all over the board. Then I hear "no more bets", look at my balance and it's a £380+ spin and I'd just been going mental with the £25 chip. I actually hit though leaving a £300+ profit off that spin alone Feeling pretty decent this morning

There were people saying all the signs were pointed towards us getting a senior striker, including citing the chronicle as a source. I'd dig the quote out but it's late and i'm sleepy -

Mentioned a few times that I hoped to be proven wrong. The praise being dished out for our flurry of required-but-not-ambitious transfer activity was sickening, I felt it my duty to administer reality slaps -
