Felt like I had to start a thread about this for a few reasons. Firstly, it happened in the area that I lived for 10 years and it feels very close to home. Dale Cregan has been on the run from police following the murder of 2 men earlier in the year. One of them was murdered in the pub at the end of my ex-husbands street. One of my best friends is a WPC for GMP and this area is her beat. She was day off today and at home with her 18 month-old daughter when she heard what had happened to her colleagues. I think the police are often blamed quickly for many things, but these girls went on their shift this morning and didn't come home to their families tonight and all because they serve their community - which for 10 years was me. RIP.

Without exception the posters that Tooj mentioned have been members and posting here for the best part of 10 years now. It's inevitable that their priorities will be different. Most of them have kids now and life gets in the way.

That was exactly the kind of game where, in the past, we would have lain down and been walked all over once they went 2-1 up. We had a shocking first half and it's fantastic to see that we're seeing these players work as a team and looking confident and up for it.
