On a lighter note, being bored out me skull and having heard that fuck off massive RAF plane that went over this morning I had Flight Tracker on to see what was occurring. I noticed a private jet took off from Newcastle airport (BTW we’re talking 4 flights in or out per week at the moment). This private plane landed at Magdeburg Airport in Germany, a tiny wee place just up the road from Leipzig. Took off 35 mins later and returned to the UK. Air Taxi for Julian Nagelsmann perhaps….

Within any organisation you have a shitload of admin staff, secretaries, reception… fuck even cleaners can see documents on a desk. People are people. Info spreads.

Concerning thing is that whilst it was just between NUFC and PCP there wasn’t really much chance of information leaks. Now of course the Premier League are involved god knows how many people have eyes and ears on the matter and will be leaking out bits and bobs.

It may have looked that way from your point of view as a client/customer but to the solicitors involved in the actual transfer itself, once contracts have been exchanged and a date for completion agreed, the transaction, usually by say CHAPS (Clearing House Automated Payment System) will be done on that day, depending on how busy the system is funds can turn up as soon as sent. I’m not saying that’s how it’ll be for a 300 mil football club like, but I would assume not many folk would be happy with their £300 million floating around in the financial ether unaccounted for three or four days.

Reading other forums (ahem), twitter etc, it’s amazing just how many folk think that the transfer of £300 million is like hoying a cheque for fifty quid into the bank and hoping it’s cleared by Saturday.
