I agree, it's a masterpiece and has the lot for me. You're right anarl you do have to read it a few times to pick up the little things. Begbie, what a character. Some parts of the book with him involved had me in stiches. Renton was my fave character because he was a good lad, someone with brains, despite all his flaws. The scary thing about that book is every bit of it is believable.

Love Trainspotting the book, loved the film too and still do but when I watch it now it seems like they haven't done the book justice, I think they could have gotten more out of the hour and a half or whatever it was. Begbie, what a character creation, they all were. Superb book. I'm not a big lover of fiction, but I really enjoyed that and like to read it every now and again.
