  1. Isn't it £700 an hour she earned? Not bad if you can get it I guess. Think of how many tasers she could buy with that sort of money. Think of how many school books could be bought with the police protection already squandered on her. And remember they are "potentially lethal offensive weapons" in non-police hands, where they magically morph into "completely non-lethal violence prevention systems"........ despite already having killed 5-10 people in the UK through police use and 3000+ in the USA. Those figures sound reliable.
  2. Have they nothing better to do?
  3. Clearly keeping the public safe from very, very reckless and dangerous behaviour. A bit like when they arrest some one for carrying a taser there are "taking a potentially lethal weapon off the street", yet when they USE one they are "using a completely non-lethal system to remove any chance of violence". Of course the number of people killed by tasers remains the same, and number killed due to police usage of them still remains by far the highest (in the UK anyway). Who the fuck mentioned tasers?
  4. He's an international musician who's work takes him around the globe. Where does her infant daughter need to be jetting off to like?
  5. Draconian football stadium legislation. Another thing we've got to thank the rioting Scousers for.
  6. Bricking this. Strongly suspect we will lose.
  7. I was laughing from that point....
  8. Orwell 'unmoved' yesterday: "Fuck off, I'm dead!"

  10. If you're losing interest in your lass I'll happily step into the breach mate, because I'm nice like that Step into it might be right as thats the only chance you'd have of filling that breach mate .....
  11. Euphemism? "Euphemissed a bit" tbh. *guffaw* Just fuck off. I only wish my GP was this courteous.
  12. "Fuck off you fat bitch!" I won't have them talking to their mother like that, it's disrespectful.

  14. A printout of this thread will feature in Rico's inevitable sectioning under the Mental Health Act.
  15. So the only direct quotes are those from Mort backing Keegan. Seriously, people need to stop buying tabloids and put the twats out of business. Ashley and Mort have underwhelmed spectacularly this season and the Allardyce/Keegan transition was pretty amateurish imho but at least they don't give the press the Shepherd-esque soundbites they so clearly crave.
  16. QFT. What the fuck is this bitch doing with a career on taxpayer radio?

Well to actually get one of those smiles all you'd have to do is get selected in a safe seat then take the train and claim travelling expenses. Are you Bridget's Careers Guidance Counsellor by any chance?

Aye, but that's not what they are doing (just what they want you to think they are doing), it's not a targeted increase at all. Nor would it have made as much tax £££'s as an across the board above inflation alcohol rise every year for the next 5 years. Which will do little to actually stop most of the behaviours it's "supposed" to, and is only likely close more non-circuit type pubs down and if anything increase at home/on street/binge drinking. Given our current alcohol prices, if binge drinking and under-age drinking were really in any real way related to price, we'd already have one of the lowest rates in the EU, but they aren't and we don't. Yeah I get that it's a societal/cultural problem. If the drinks were actually unaffordable though, then kids wouldnt actually be able to afford them. That part is quite straight forward. Where the problem diverts to after that is another matter.

"Kids." I've witnessed that picture of you with Luke sipping your Smirnoff Ice or something similar. Here man you're just proving my point. Luke lost it that night on alcopops-went completely radg and wouldn't calm down until he had a kebab inside him and Greg had drunk so much tart fuel he thought he could fly (down the stairs of 5th Ave).

Fact is though, massive duty increases on alcopops etc would probably have the effect of making them unaffordable to kids so even if the motives are ulterior you can still make a strong case for it.
