Genuine question, as I cannot be bothered to Google and spend ages trying to understand it, would we get a bigger points deduction if we spent way more? E.g. if we knew we were £20m over, would it be worthwhile just going and spending another £300m and taking the hit?

I don't mind people having an 'imagine' moment. I have often put the lottery on to enjoy the 'imagine' but never have I believed that I would win it. What gets me here is, why would you want a player to wear a top slagging off a celebrity linked to a club who are after your player then for your club to invest in a tractor to set fire to it? It is like some weird scenario that WWF used to do when I watched it as a kid. There are so many questions to ask about it as well. Where does he think the smoke would go? Does he think the game would take place next to a burning tractor? Are firefighters aware this is going to happen in advance and there on standby or does he imagine that they would ring 999 at half time? If they don't manage to get rid of all the current litter in the stadium, are they going to leave a burnt out tractor there indefinitely as a reminder that Ipswich put an offer in one of their players?

In all seriousness, this should be a sober reminder of where we are and where we had been. We are currently upset, understandably given the circumstances, with our transfer window. How long ago was it that we would wait until deadline day and hope we would still had player x? The last time I was stupid enough to believe the money would be reinvested was Amdy Carroll.

What is worrying is, despite the ai turning her into a transformer, if someone showed us this and the actual performance a few weeks back, meanwhile explaining she was going to be breakdancing in the Olympics, we would find it hard to figure out which one was the real version.

This shows how corrupt PSR is. How are we struggling to pay an extra £5m, with Saudi money backing us, for a defender yet a newly promoted team can spend £150m+ on an elite player?

Guehi could be a fantastic addition to our team. I also think he could potentially be worth more in the future but there does need to be a cut off with any financial addition. I am hopefully moving house next week, I had to pay the asking price. I am hoping, based on the history of house prices, that it will continue to go up in value. I hit my maximum on it (Not quite 65m) but I wouldn't go higher. I also had to do the same with the price that I am selling my current house for. If it didn't work out with the house, I had to accept that there were other options out there. It is the same with Guehi. If he costs too much, we need to walk away. Worst case scenario, we end up with another option that we are not as content with. Manchester United, in 2011-2012 had the next England centre back pairing in Jones (20) and Smalling (22) with Evans (24). At the time, I thought they were going to be defensively solid for years to come.

Who hopes Palace get relegated and Guehi leaves on a free?

I wonder if he played bad due to the pressures of the Euros? Wilson came back worse as has Gordon which seems to make little sense to me. Does this happen with the rest of the players, comparatively speaking to their abilities? Was this a factor in Alex Ferguson being so negative about his squad playing for England? -
Nice to see it is not just going to be us.

HELMET!

I think it has to be with Trippier. Hall was on the yellow for so long and Trippier on at LB or switching Tino made so much sense.

They are like a top of the table version of Sunderland. Just hanging around, where they do not deserve. They get results that they don't deserve and it seems to make the problems sink in further. There is no way that you could have enjoyed watching that if you were a Manchester United fan. That nonsense at the end sums it up.
-
Haha, that was shite, like some Fifa nonsense
-
Pile of shite.

Manchester United are still not convincing me that they are any less shite. Still probably guaranteed to get numerous wins they shouldn't. Not sure what Maguire thought he would get from his dive.

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I am definitely keen for him to sign. -

I am relieved that this deal doesn't seem to be coming off. It Wass too much money. Howe probably doesn't want him anyway. -
Or if we end up selling him on at a profit the way Leeds sold Ferdinand.

I just don't understand the logic in having such an upset about it. I live in Newcastle so I probably might be more likely to own one if I lived somewhere else. I've been to two funerals where you were encouraged to wear black and white, one when my mate died when he was 20 of appendicitis. Even then it feels no different to the ones where you get asked to turn up in bright colours. Both seem like I am wearing the wrong thing as it is just different. It just doesn't cross my mind when I see someone wearing a top unless I think it is a good design or if it is a club that I don't immediately recognise e.g. when people started to wear the South Shields or Gateshead tops.
-
I don't get the issue with fully grown men wearing football tops. I haven't bought one since I was somewhere between 18-20 (probably still too old for the genuine consensus on them) but I don't really associate them just for kids.
-
The video worked. I bought the kit my 8 year old. The shorts are definitely the wrong colour.
-
I have to be honest and say that the thought never crossed my mind. Should I feel ashamed? I know that this was probably because I was subconsciously frozen solid inside, through complete fear, but at the time it honestly just felt like the Sunderland top was irrelevant to my day/life.
-
After reading all of the stories on RTG about NUFC tops. I now have my own. I was up at Bamburgh yesterday with the family and I saw a young lad wearing a Sunderland top. I thought to myself, 'I haven't seen a Sunderland top in years' and continued to enjoy my day out.
-
I hadn't realised that it had been with us that long. Just seen that he has only had 36 appearances over the three years (16: 21-22 17: 22-23 and 3: 23-24) which is not great.
-
I'm not convinced that we need shot of Targett. He had a bad season of injuries but I recall him being solid for us, either that or I was just on a high with no Bruce? Almiron is another one that I wouldn't mind having on the bench. Not keen on either being in the starting 11.

I'm liking these comments on the budget as if I know what they mean. I feel that I am slowly getting there haha.
