I listen to it most evenings. He has a good selection of regular guests who are usually amusing and there is a excellent mix of music too. Have to agree that the old 'graveyard shift' show on Radio 1 with Lard was gold.

There are always a few good stories about last minute shopping gone wrong. My brother worked at Argos one christmas and the manager let them close an hour early on Christmas eve for working so hard. Cue a bunch of bloke coming streaming out of the workies club and banging on the shutters "Open up, I haven't got our lass a present yet!" There's the one about the police being called to a domestic one christmas morning because the hubby had bought the wife a new iron for christmas and upon opening it, she battered him with it. The bloke who stayed in the pub all day on xmas eve and whilst staggering home discovered all the shops had shut and the only place open was the 24-hour petrol station. Mrs opens her presents the next morning to find a 5 litre can of Castrol GTX and a road atlas.

We'll have some, just not much. Can't see us spending more than £2m though. If we're in the bottom three or four come January I reckon the necessary cash will be found from somewhere.

I think Ashton & Nugent would make an excellent partnership but I very much doubt we'll get Ashton. Bridge and Upson sound realistic, if Neill is going anywhere it will be to Liverpoo, and the Anton Ferdinand one sounds like the journalist just picked a name and a club out of thin air.
