AV output is set to DVB. The reason I think it might be the scart is that none of the Q-link features seem to be working. A quick scan on google seems to show that loads of people with freeview tv's seem to be having trouble setting up to record. I'll have to see if I can narrow it down to someone with the same set up as me and see how/if they solved it.

I was day-dreaming yesterday and came up with an almost identical manifesto. I'd go for Hiddink to run the football side and employ an experienced football man as a director of operations to advise me and run the business side. I'd keep an alias on here (and maybe N-O) to gauge what you lot thought we were doing right and wrong.

It'll be someone from Bolivia or Venezuela or somewhere like that. They won't speak english, have never even set foot in europe and won't know where Newcastle is never mind that they have a football team. The 'scouting' will consist of one grainy video supplied by a dodgy agent and a paragraph from a football magazine no one reads saying he's great. He will be injury-prone, have a poor temperament, suspect finishing and a lazy work-ethic. He will cost between eight and twelve million. Other than that, I'd be guessing.

I've recently got a new tv with built-in freeview. I can't work out how to record the DVB signal to either my vcr or dvd recorder. They record the analogue signal no prob but I can't see a way to get the digital signal to the recorders. I've read the manuals and that is no clearer and they're all Panasonic so I can't see it being a compatability problem. The only thing I can think it might be is the cheap, shitty scart lead from the tv to the dvd recorder (from a previous buget player). Maybe it's not a fully-wired scart cable, would than make a difference? I'm going to get some decent cables anyway, just want to rule it out before I try anything else.
