  1. I wouldn't mind speed limits if they were relevant. 30 is fine for built-up areas, but how about knocking it down to 20 when kids are going to/from school? The 70 limit on motorways has been in place since the early sixties when cars had drum brakes and cross-ply tyres. I reckon the accident rate wouldn't go up even if the limit was raised to 85.
  2. Electronic - Disappointed haven't heard it for a-g-e-s.
  3. I wouldn't be suprised if he was ducking out of difficult games given his current level of confidence. He's a lost cause.
  4. Punishment beatings for people who hog the middle lane on motorways and those that don't indicate properly at roundabouts.
  5. Wears his hat at a very jaunty angle doesn't he?
  6. Bit like Michael Owen when he had his crop-and-stubble phase to stop him looking like a little boy.
  7. Best I could do. Phone photo of an old family snap.
  8. He's a rubbish left back, but an alrightish centre half.
  9. Me too. Do you think we can appeal and have it upgraded to a three-match ban?
  10. I hope to god the club doesn't offer him a new contract. I'd rather lose him on a free than have him here for another three or four years.
  11. I disagree with him on almost everything, but I quite like him too. Great article. Any more inside info Luke?
  12. That'll be the same state of California thats governor drives round in a fucking great big Hummer will it?
  13. I wouldn't be so sure about that Sima. The BBC and H&S executive will be looking very carefully at the risks involved, plus insurers and lawyers. Add in the outcry from do-gooders and environmentalists and it will be hard to justify a prime-time programme about boys and their toys, supercars and daft challenges no matter how popular it is.
  14. Good to hear he is improving. I expect Top Gear, certainly in its current format, will come to an end after this.
  15. Said on the news that the fact he was taken to a Neuro ward in Leeds rather than some of the hospitals closer to the accident suggests the seriousness of the injuries. He'll be getting the best care there I guess.
