  1. Mind, when we’re on about “taking” Trafalgar Square, there were a group of total fucking scrubbers in the Strawberry after the semi final saying that they were going to jump in the fountain. So, sadly, looks like some elements of our support looked on those mackem idiots as inspirations
  2. Tilleys has some screens now but it’s lost a bit of its charm since the refurb. Far too bright for my tastes. Bodega might be fine with the bairn and they’ve got that big projector screen. Or they used to, haven’t been in for a bit
  3. Will be tough to stomach if he scores the winner in the final
  4. If I get a ticket, I ride for London. If not, I’ll head into town and watch it wherever it takes my fancy. Probably some kind of beam back event
  5. I think you probably have to go with Maxi if we’re missing Bruno, just to provide us with a bit of spark. I can’t see Gordon starting but an exciting cameo would be pretty great. I’ll go for a conservative 2-1 as I think these might score. Especially if Ings is straight in. Depends on how far the Moyes rot has set in, I suppose
  6. This scarf crack can fuck off, mind. Considering my lass and the bint behind me were unable to swing the cunt without braying me in the side of the head
  7. We’ve transformed the entire club and team in the space of a year
  8. I think Maxi has only just got back to full fitness/sharpness tbh. And, once we get past the final (touch wood), it’s only 15 games across 3 months or so. I still maintain there’s enough rotation options in the attack/midfield to get through that. I’d say the biggest concern is an injury to Schar or Trippier
  9. Mind, I think if we do feel a bit desperate, I think we might test Leicester for Tielemans
  10. With regards to us and a central midfielder, wouldn’t be surprised if our general stance is to not sign stop-gaps, even on loan. Maybe due to FFP, maybe due to the fact that the likes of Hendrick and co are still lingering about on long deals. Plus, other than Gallagher, are there any Premier League central midfielders who we could get that represent a decent option? With Gordon, Joelinton can now be moved back so you have 4 players for 3 slots. It’s not ideal but Isak also opens the option to play 4-4-2 if need be so I’m not sure it’s the be all and end all if we don’t replace Shelvey. Especially if a long term target, who will actually improve us, becomes available early in the summer
  11. Anyone else unable to shake the feeling that “Old Newcastle” could make an appearance tonight? Old habits die hard
  12. So it won’t happen but it might Never change, Luke
  13. We should sign Berge’s more talented brother, Double Cheese
  14. They’re only in 9th because of Saudi trickle down economics tainting refs in the Championship or something
  15. If he goes to Forest, it’ll probably be a three year deal, which, at his age, is probably his last big wage. Can see why he’d want to move there for that reason alone
  16. Sunderland are happy to announce the signing of Fido on a 3 year deal
  17. The refereeing in that Liverpool game I know I’m late to the party in discussing it but fucking hell. The VAR check for the Brighton goal was a shambles; he was clearly onside, the lino didn’t flag so why was it a 2 minute check? That’s before we talk about Fabinho. Even he was expecting a red ffs
  18. Also, fair to say that we’ve GAZUMPED Chelsea for the cunt
  19. Just based on his, and our players, reaction, I’m over the moon with this. If Trippier and Bruno are over the moon to see him come in, then he’s got something about him
  20. Means that you can take a tiring Almiron for Gordon and bring Maxi on to the left side for Joelinton/Willock and not lose anything in an attacking sense
  21. Playing their full strength team to take a Premier League scalp and end up banjoing their promotion charge you love to see it
