Maybe due to FFP, maybe due to the fact that the likes of Hendrick and co are still lingering about on long deals. Plus, other than Gallagher, are there any Premier League central midfielders who we could get that represent a decent option? With Gordon, Joelinton can now be moved back so you have 4 players for 3 slots. It’s not ideal but Isak also opens the option to play 4-4-2 if need be so I’m not sure it’s the be all and end all if we don’t replace Shelvey.
