Catch up, you're so 2014, God! I'm going to listen to Benji as I sleep and it had better be good or I'll be on here giving it full Fish ranting.

No, do what Mako says you're doing, even if it's actually the opposite of your opinion.

The collaboration between Franz Ferdinand and Sparks is out today under the name FFS. It sounds exactly like you'd imagine; the quirks of Sparks with the more indie hooks of Franz Ferdinand. Both know their way around a melody though so it's alright but it's definitely trying to be too clever for it's own good. Finally got to Sprinter by Torres and the new Earl Sweatshirt album. Both of them are growers but Torres is well recommended if you like indie female singer songwriters and ES good if you like more low-key rap with some dark subject matter. Strange how Tyler, The Creator gets a lot of buzz from Odd Future but the rest of them are so much better. Still not got into Sun Kil Moon as much as I would have liked but it/he just never seems to click.

Bilic is an absolute fraud, lads.

In what sense, Parkster? Music still sounds alright to me.

Interesting that they've bit the bullet and not offered any free services. At some point, every streaming service will do that so will be interesting to see how Spotify stacks up when they eventually go there.

Heard a great story about Pav once that I can't be arsed to type out. Actually, it was Phillipe Albert, never mind

Ins and Outs for next season

I'm looking forward to some in and out action at your mam's tonight btw -
See the manager has been sacked as well. He's not happy though and is suing on the grounds of "Funfair Dismissal"

Made me laugh during the build up to the World Cup, pundits were asked if England could win it and someone went "Well, nobody is expecting them to and that can be a help" Nobody expected them to win it because we're shite, man. I can't keep track of the amount of times a World Cup has been won by someone nobody expected to win it.

I think Carver's ineptitude has made a lot of people forget how rage-inducing Pardew's football was and how bad the results were that came of it. They've forgotten him playing people out of position, playing his favourites, his falling out with players because they wouldn't run backwards as a priority, it was absolutely fucking shite. Also, the players looked terribly coached; you could argue that's down to Carver and Stone and there's maybe truth to that but the manager is the bloke running the sessions and by all accounts, McClaren is a much better coach than Pardew. It's not an inspiring appointment but you don't get inspiring with Ashley's NUFC. My major hopes are that he instills a watchable brand of football that involves us going at teams from the off, especially at home and sees him utilise players like Cabella, De Jong, Perez etc. in roles that suit them and get the best out of them. If he can get the injuries down, possibly by doing training that doesn't just involve us running around for 3 hours, it'll be a gigantic boost to our chances of having a decent season. He's shown himself to be a decent cup manager as well so if he can turn that particular calamity around, it'd be champion. In Pardew's reign, it was clearly apparent that he couldn't do any of that at all. HF is right that it's a gamble in the sense that the players probably haven't got a clue who he is, certainly not in the same way they would Vieira or Garde but they might like what he's selling and play for him. You never know but I think he's an improvement on what has come before him. It's not the massive statement of intent we would like but you've just got to accept it, look at the bloke from both sides (not just the instantly depressing one that pervades here) and hope that he can do well with what he's given.

James Milner continues his run of being a ridiculous expensive footballer. £5 million here as a 17 year old, £12 million to Villa, £20-odd million to Man City and now he'll be getting mad money and a massive signing on fee at Liverpool. He's useful, like but people narf overpay for him.
-
Nar, he's literally suspended. They had a harness, it's got stuck and the bloke can't come and fix it until Monday so they're paying him as means of apology. Hang in there, mate.
