When did we last do a swap deal? Was it Keith Gillespie for Andy Cole?
-
There's really no need to sign anyone. We're likely to make top half with the existing squad. Job done, cigars all round...
-
I hope you're right BW. I suspect its more about convincing the fat man to spend money when he doesn't see the need for it. That's when you need Whisky Joe to show some balls but I fear he won't rock the boat.
-
Agreed. Difficult to see the fat man shelling out when we are comfortably mid table and not in an injury crisis. I'd like to think we'd get in a top striker but I wouldn't bet on it.

Newcastle ban all press (unless they pay).

Stupid and greedy. Which is nice. -
Is he injured or summink? Physioroom suggests he is

There's no doubt that Januzaj is a cheating bastard. HBA gave him a little tug on the arm in the second half and he threw himself down like he'd had his legs kicked away. He did that a couple of times to win free kicks iirc
-
They must get a lot of kids and "special" people on RTG. The craic on there is terrible
-
tip top result, well done lads

Sounds fair

I still don't see the point of JFK. Unless it's to laugh at Ashley's jokes in the pub and hold his dick when he goes for a piss.
-
The Firth of Forth? tbf CT did have a thread of sorts for WBA although you plainly made the difference
-
Has to be the same starting XI unless someone's knacked. Why change a winning formula….a bit like CT starting the match threads
-
Fuck off. Position's taken
-
I assume Anita was bought as Cabaye's replacement….
-
I think that's spot on personally. I'd add to that buy young so there's less chance of injury and more chance of improvement (performance and value)…..and avoiding having to write off transfer fees (unless you're Joey Barton). imo experience to date suggests we don't generally buy to sell…..we'll only sell the ones we want to keep for a big profit i.e. Carroll. I think the bigger problem in recent times has been lack of depth in key areas. Edit: by writing off transfer fees I mean losing money when we sell a player as opposed to writing off in an accounting sense which I appreciate we have to do
-
It's a piece written by a clueless prick. I didn't get very far down it.
-
Presumably "by getting the balance right" Williamson means picking him to start. Well fancy that....
-
You might as well start all of the match threads for the rest of the season while you're at it
-
It's a shame to see wasted potential but he's no-one to blame but himself. He's had plenty of second chances but will end up on the scrapheap and possibly in prison because of his poor choices and attitude. And no-one will care from a footballing pov, because he's achieved nothing.
-
He's got more pace and can pass the ball better than Jonas. A bargain for 500k imo
-
We'll expect to beat Norwich. So we'll probably lose 3-0, it's been that sort of season so far
-
It's true he's bought some of his brands from distressed sellers. However he makes his money by slashng production quality and costs and churning out cheap tat till consumers eventually realise the brand is fucked. I remember when brands like Dunlop. Slazenger, Donnay, Lonsdale were quality....not anymore. If that's "breathing new life into them" then I agree with you
-
He's made his fortune out of buying decent brands and taking them down market at a rate of knots. I suppose we're no different, he cheapens everything he owns (except his shares).
