It's obvious he's done it for a laugh and knew what he was doing. He's billy big bollocks and the lad he shot was just a nobody, so he can do what he likes. He probably doesn't think he's done anything wrong. "Don't they know who I am?" etc. Prosecute the tool, is what I say. Everything I've ever heard about Cole suggests he's a prick, now he's a dangerous prick too.

Those big clubs have hardly fallen over themselves to snap him up have they? I wonder why....
-
I think all that Sniffer's saying is that it's too much of a risk given his track record of sulking and the way he flounced out of the club. I have to say I agree with that. However if the bid on deadline was serious (big if) it sounds like the club agrees with you.

Legs unable to carry porky frame, more like

Normally you don't see him for dust. He likes to hold a high line. etc etc

I think he's got too much baggage. Plus didn't he fancy himself as more of a midfielder than a winger anyway?

Shane Ferguson tearing apart international opposition
Kitman replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
John Arne Riise according to all the press. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Liver...icle709995.html Don't believe a word of that. As a rule we only sign washed up old knacks on short term contracts these days, and even then only on a free transfer (and probably for bugger all wages) -

I hope that's not the plan. It's one way of looking at it -

i expect he'll get his chance if Enrique's off -
He seems as mad as a box of frogs and an accident wating to happen. His wife should take the kids and run away with them as fast as she can. imo.

Thought maybe he was injured? (groin not seatbelt burns) Edit: not injured according to nufc.com

On recent form I'd have to go for 1-1

Heh, looks like you were having a great time.....the look on your face reminds me of this character:

Having to prop up Chez in that nightclub probably set his recovery back a few weeks anyway
-
...unless he gets niggly injuries from coming back too soon of course. I reckon they won't bring him back any quicker than needed as it happens, it's not like we're in a desperate position.

I thought this was a thread about New Zealand, imagine my disappointment Yacky da or whatever anyway

If those 5m players are the quality of Tiote or Ben Arfa then I wouldn't mind if we only spent a portion of the 35 mill. I just want to see the squad progress and we particularly need to invest in decent strikers imo. If they're the quality of James Perch or (shudder) Carlton Cole I'll be fucking furious with the fat man (again). A lot rests on Carr and Pardoo's shoulders to spend wisely, however much they get. Dunno how realistic it is to expect us to unearth cheap gems every summer that no-one else is looking at. I'm more inclined to think we hit the jackpot with Tiote and Ben Arfa. If we do it regularly Graham Carr is a fucking genius and needs putting on a six year contract. I think you're right. In particular it's likely that any decent No 9 is being tracked already by loads of clubs and would cost a packet anyway. Maybe Ashley will shock us with a 20 goals a season trophy signing, eh? * takes more Prozac *

I had the same thing at SJP a few years ago. I can't understand anyone who treats the match like going to the cinema, of course you're going to stand up if something important's going on. Unless you're an old fossil with a tartan blanket on your knees.... It's a shame they won't allow some limited standing areas imo.
