We might struggle to get 40 points. Having no goals from the front men means you lose matches you should have drawn and draw matches you should have won. I think our defence is key to staying up, which means Tiote staying fit & out of trouble till the end of the season. Cos I can't see us scoring more than one goal in a match based on the Fulham performance.

Can't say I blame him. Ashley just doesn't understand how football works.

If you hijack their team bus, this could happen. -

The tea leaves are predicting a shoe-ing -
Thought about this the other day but didn't post it. We all said we needed more strike options before the window even opened. We brought in no-one and got rid of 2 more strikers. Incredible! Maybe efficiencies needed to be made. You wonder whether they're working on a quota system - "We're up to our quota of 4 strikers, Alan, so you'll need to ship out 2. Don't worry about Andy, we've already sorted him out."

The phoenix will rise again.....

You may have missed something here....

Predictable, I guess. Not looking foward to the rest of the season.

Please can we have a big slice of luck

The comparison with Fat sam's era sounds about right. Stop them playing and hope you get a goal from a set piece with the ball going in off someone's arse. The only comfort is we'd have been in the position anyway as Carroll's still injured. I mentioned earlier our bench is terrible and just highlights the lack of depth.

Because he's a clueless, spineless, alcoholic fuckwit of a puppet? Maybe. No need to hold back MF, say what you really think
-
Yup, they're liars. The Keegan debacle showed them in their true colours.

Just seen the team,. Our bench tonight is as weak as piss Krul, Campbell, Lovenkrands, Perch, Ranger, Ferguson, Richardson

Andy Carroll aftermath(press conf/interviews etc)

Can you please explain how that can happen legally ?? The money's used to repay Ashley's loan to the club..... So reduction of a liability then, not back pocket I don't know what you're on about, mate. I was just talking about the cash going back to Ashley. -

My own take on it is that he was more than entitled to ask for a decent pay rise commensurate with being the club's no. 9 and an England international. I don't think we needed to match what Liverpool were offering though, which was probably silly money and based on CL participation till recently. Plainly we didn't offer him anything at all - which was a mistake imo - but I doubt he would have been interested in anything other than a massive payrise anyway. I think he wanted to go and more importantly Ashley wanted to sell.
-
Unless the Americans are suspicious jack's been a naughty boy, in which case we'll arrrest and extradite him so he can be detained in some hellhole without trial
-
If we offered him the same, or similar wages he would have stayed I reckon. Though his agent would have been pushing for a move. Why would we match what Liverpool were offering in wages though?

I will print this, cast some voodoo powder on it and burn it next full moon. It's on.

If Pardew's planning to spend the money on Carlton Cole, I'd rather it went into Ashley's pocket. -
is this the shitest selection of strikers in your lifetime?
Kitman replied to Dr Gloom's topic in Newcastle Forum
Amazing the club thinks our minging crop of strikers are good enough to see us through. We must surely start with 5 in midfield now and 1 upfront for the rest of the season (rotating Best and Ameobi, with Ranger/Lovenkrands coming off the bench). -
This is my prediction. Whilst hoping for piss ups and punch ups and failure I think he will be stupidly good for them like he was for us - although in a better team. It will probably represent value for money in 5 years time despite scousers current apprehension in regards to the fee. I thik you're right but I cling to the hope he'll piss it all away

Just from that picture, he looks a bit like Rob Lee. Or maybe Rob Lee with a stocking pulled over the top of his head. -
I hope they discover iin due course that he has an injury problem that takes ages to fix. Then he aggravates things by going out on the lash and falling over on it. He goes on more benders to cope with the pressure of recovery and ends up getting into a fight in McDonalds with a teenage pikey, resulting in a lengthy spell in prison for ABH. Then just on the point of recovery he gets shopped to the police by a jilted girlfriend who it turns out is underage and he goes back to prison again. On release he gets shot in the arse in a mafia drive by over unsettled gambling debts and Liverpool cancel his contract. Not that I'm bitter.
