  1. That was a moving read. He's still shit, mind you.
  2. Would be a terrible signing at half the price imo
  3. Cant' say I'm reassured about spending wisely when we're linked with the likes of Carlton Cole.
  4. We can point the finger and laugh at Sunderland, but it wouldn't surprise me if things go the same way with us next season if there isn't major investment in the team and a commitment to hang onto our best players.
  5. Yup. A rose garden. Bet you're excited about that, huh?
  6. I couldn't give a stuff about him or his stupid garden tbh.
  7. Whether the club gets sold in the summer? Again it is all down to one factor, albeit one person. El Gordo, the Lord of the Chavs and Decimator of Clubs. Men fear his wrath and women fear his manager. Look on his works ye mighty and wonder where the money went. That one, you mean?
  8. Whether the club gets sold in the summer?
  9. Not as much as a ball ache as reading it though, you lazy bastard
  10. I disagree. Nobody's criticising the man, the troops on the ground or the armed forces. They're criticisng the people who sent them there in the first place. Anyway RIP LC Marshall.
  11. Bang on. I think ASM does it too. It's easy to edit quotes to the last one or two posts ffs.
  12. Ben Arfa back and a top end pacy striker could make all the difference. One of these is likely, the other will cost money.
  13. Sunlun's wage bill sounds horrendous. Be interesting to know what ours is these days, after the FCB's economy drive in recent seasons. Can't be many really big earners left - maybe Collocini, Barton, Smith, Guttierez, Nolan?
  14. A clean sheet away from home. I doubt Pardew manages that very often........ .......in his personal life
  15. I'm a bit gloomy about this one. It's the sort of game we need to win so we probably won't. 1-0 to them or 0-0.
  16. Exactly. What's he supposed to do, smile wryly and adjust the tartan blanket on his knees?
  17. In a nutshell skippy, a fucking nutshell. Clearly and without any shadow of a doubt, Enrique or Pardew has been on Toontastic reading the Enrique thread, hence the absolute total turn around in his game that has you all reaching for the Kleenex. Oh wait, I guess you are all going to claim its purely coincidence that Enrique pulls out his best attacking display, this week of all weeks. Make no mistake. Pardew reacts to my threads, Simon Bird copies them and Enrique uses them as motivation. If by motivation you mean toilet paper, I fully agree
  18. "Let's be honest Shefki, you're shit. So I'm only going to play you if we're desperate. Anyway have a go, that's all I ask. Nice one, sahn."
  19. With a dose of the clap, Pardew's been at her flaps, Shefki Kuqi

Why not? Absolutely no excuse in my opinion. Next season outwith transfers, due to the new wage structure the club will make a significant profit, as much as £10m, as we have done in the past, without wanting a FFS wankfest, one year we made £24m profit. There's nee reason at all why we can't match that long term. Simply because there's no immediate pay off. So you'd have to spend 10 mill a year for god knows how long to get any kind of return. There's zero chance of Ashley going for that. I expect we don't even spend money on decent scouts, just Graham Carr on a super saver train ticket looking for gems.

10m a year is very good value. Not that we could match that level of investment.
