It already happens, companies who have floated fixed rate debt have found themselves so far in the money on their swaps that they are busting their counterparty risk limits wide open. Mark to market movements are settled day on day when valuations are agreed. It sound like a massive arse ache but in reality it isn't. Hedging isnt always cashflow hedging fella. That sounds suspiciously like bullshit to me, but then I can't pretend to be an expert on this. Isn't Matt's point that to hedge a forex exposure in the US, you'll need to fund a large lump of cash to post as security against the hedge in the event it becomes out of the money? Which presumably defeats the object of hedging which is about minimising exposure without undue funding costs. Maybe you could explain what you mean?

Good news for Derry. No doubt the Orangemen will showcase one of their good natured marches as the centrepiece of the celebrations....it'd be like Mardi Gras in Rio

Yes. The team vs the USA looked like a McClaren's team, and played like it too. I was incredulous that Heskey started. I recall someone saying Capello stated at the outset he wouldn't repeat his predecessors's mistakes, like picking out of form big name players, fielding unfit players and playing players out of position. Then doing all of those things at the WC when it really mattered. I thought that was bang on. Let's hope he's learnt from his mistakes at the EC, eh.

Good stuff. Mind you the competition wasn't up to much. What's Norwich famous for, mustard?
-
God knows. Probably Nolan, assuming he's played as a support striker not a MF. Not in favour of goalies being captain.

In the interests of balance I'd stick up for Cardiff and Edinburgh. Good cities imo and plenty of character. Cardiff has some great scenery one or two hours up the road too (The Gower, Brecon Beacons etc).

Looks like the whole head's been photoshopped onto a real body to me Edit: actually maybe just the face Its the real deal, hes telling a photographer whos got to close to fuck off and rightly so. aha, got it. The cop to the right looks like he's got a comedy moustache. He also reminds me of one of the cops off Shameless. I must get out more. That is the particularly ineffective copper off Shameless, which answers a few questions about how Moat evaded capture for so long.

Post it on your twitter twat boy. Boring? Is there anything more boring and needy than your last post? Have a word with yourself. Twat? My definition of a twat would be a knob jockey who registers on a Newcastle forum even though they are a spurs fan, just for some attention. Don't be silly Kevin, here's here to correct the misrepresentation of Spurs in all the many threads about Spurs on here.* * even though we haven't had any since he skulked away last time Every thread containing the word Spurs Aren't most of those down to you though Danny? Considering I have been banned since the day you were relegated I would say they had little or nothing to do with me. I expect some of those threads are quite old and pre-date your banning. The most recent ones look like they post-date your banning. I expect the few where you're not wumming about Spurs probably just mention transfers. Not that I can be arsed to look - how about you do the research and I'll apologise if that's not fair. tbh my sense is that nobody particularly cares about Spurs on here until you come here on the wind-up.

Bang on, hardly Robin Hood material. Still I presume being 'gangsta' these days gets you hero status with glue sniffing charvas who think they're all West Side. If he'd survived I imagine Moat would now be working on a rap album.

Maybe so but he's effectively announced his retirement

What a load of rubbish. There's little left of central Reading that's older than 1980, beyond a couple of churches, Victoria St and a few pubs. Even the train station's been largely remodelled. It's completely soulless, man! Most of West Reading's a sewer iirc and Earley's a giant housing estate. Unemployment was historically low but not everyone has jobs (and I expect the situation's got worse lately). There's also plenty of poor people who live there who'd laugh at your description of the place as some kind of shangri-la. For every place like Henley, which is nice to look at but full of horrible people, there's places like Slough or Didcot just down the road. And Sonning? Don't make me laugh, it's blighted by traffic morning and night and that wanker Yuri Geller lives there. Theale's also a shit hole, completely blighted by the M4 and traffic to Newbury. I think you are confusing a city that has grown from fairly modest beginnings at a unbelivable rate with a town that has deserted its history. Surely Jimmy Page cancels out Uri Geller? There's no confusion, thank you. If you were talking about Swindon you might have a point. Reading on the other hand has been a major city since the middle ages but has little to show for it in terms of history, culture or attractions. It's just a bland dormitory for IT workers, same as dozens of towns in England, there's nothing special about it, anybody who wants a day or night out jumps on the train to London if they're under 50. The Thames Valley is scenic in parts - Wallingford, Goring, Henley, Marlow, Windsor etc - but blighted by shit holes like Slough, Maidenhead, Twyford etc. Plus everything's overpriced, overpopulated and clogged with cars full of angry faux Londoners heading for their first heart attack. There's really no comparison between Reading/the Reading area and Newcastle/Tyneside. The latter is better in so many ways imo, with the possible exception of the average temperature in winter. I know both Reading and Newcastle/Northumberland reasonably well, do you? Regarding Jimmy Page, well fair enough, doesn't change what I said about Sonning though

Look live here for 6 month and you tell me if you notice any differences. Till then pipe down. what would I do up there? Unless I sell my house I guess, could probably live like a kind on the equity. What would you do up here? Have a better standard of living and quality of life than you do down there for starters, living in a bigger home, paying less council tax. What can you do in Berkshire that you can't do here? Job, prospects, local amenities, hot and col running water, gas, electricity, coats...this list is, as they say, endless. Reading is basically a new town like Milton Keynes. Most of the good stuff was flattened in the War and the rest of it knocked down by ignorant town planners to build roundabouts and supermarkets. It has a terrible traffic system and is clogged with traffic at rush hour. its high street is dead. The main shopping centre The Oracle is blandness personified. There are lots of featureless business parks like Arlington (which is probably where Danny works) which all look the same. Most places up and down the M4 in that area like Slough and Bracknell are shit holes. There's actually a lot of crime in Reading too, ethnic tension and the rich live in little ghettos in Thames side villages. In my experience many of the people are mean, money obsessed, weasely characters. I can't think of a single thing to recommend it over Newcastle, a city rich in history, culture, character and people. FoD.

Good luck, we'll struggle on without you as best we can.....

As if Hughton has the power to block anything! Sounds more like the Mirror admitting they made it up in the first place iyam.
-
As much as that? I'm pleasantly surprised
-
It'd make more sense if it was Given moving to Celtic. Still, if we're spending money on new players it has to come from flogging a player or two so I can believe it. If Hughton comes and out and says he's heard nothing and no way is Harper leaving, it definitely means they've sold him.

3 years or so ago 3 Natwest bankers were deported to Texas in connection with the Enron trial. They were kept under house arrest for the best part of a year iirc awaiting trial, at their own expense, forbidden to work or travel and largely without their families. No crime had been committed against US citizens or US companies, and they had effectively squealed on themselves. In view of the costs and ridiculous jail terms if found guilty, they were forced to plea bargain and serve jail time in a Texan jail. Absolutely disgraceful. Even if they were grubby merchant bankers. No way would that happen to US citizens, I can't stand the way we bend over and take it form them tbh.
