  1. Smith fighting very bravely, it must be said. Winning headers and tackles like never before. Where's the goal going to come from though?
  2. Emre being constantly fouled, can't shake the feeling he'll lose his temper soon and go in for another shocker.
  3. Unbelievable refereeing error has denied Owen a goal. Absolute rubbish. Looks like we may be in for a long game.
  4. Wrong example. While an Israeli team would never get a "positive" reception in Egypt what you're implying isn't the case. Given the portrayal of Israeli's in Egyptian newspaper cartoons, I'd suspect it would be exactly the case. Racism isn't something exclusive to "the white man", some of the worst acts of modern (and historic) racism are between non-white cultures. I suspect they do, it's not exactly a secret (he mentioned it in newspaper interviews himself about 10 times in the first 6 months after he signed). I'm pretty sure he prayed as a celebration once. Seen him do it for Turkey, never for us though (much like scoring )
  5. Wrong example. While an Israeli team would never get a "positive" reception in Egypt what you're implying isn't the case. As for "islamophobic" the dozy bitch just needs something to fill up her column inches (and pay cheque.) Is she a Mackem or a Smoggie? I can never tell. p.s. I'm not sure our fans know Emre is Muslim
  6. Well evidently I've read too far into this statement. With "bitter" I was referring to how we beat them 5-0 under Keegan and how he blamed all of Newcastle's problems on that one victory about a month back (I could find the article if you like, it was linked here) and also how we took Shearer off them. But in retrospect it does seem silly. He's still an arse though and needs to keep out of other teams' business.
  7. opening the door for benjani's move to man city? 'Arry must be off his rocker. Throwing away one of the form players of the season and a fans' favorite for another over-rated over-priced England international waster. Senile tbh. No. Benjani is nearly 30 and the fee being banded around is £8mil. So if they can get £8mil for Benjani who doesn't offer a lot other than running and then buy Jermain Defoe for £7mil then that is fantastic business. Defoe isn't the best striker in the world but he is a decent Premier League striker. And he isn't an England international. The fee is £6mil for Benjani, who (need I remind you) is third top scorer in the Premier League with two hat-tricks as opposed to Defoe who's managed 3 Premier League goals and contends with Darren Bent for third place at Spurs. You're also wrong about the England international bit. This is bad business and although Benjani isn't world class he's better than Defoe.

  9. No surprise the fat man's got your backing. Glory glory, eh mate? I'm just saying he's got a lot to say about our business, both about Allardyce and Keegan. Seems like it's open season for anyone to take a pop but especially him.
  10. Scum. I lose more respect for his fat head every day.
  11. He's well past it, I've been saying that since before the season began. Too late to cash in though. To be honest we should've had this waster off our wage bill ages ago. I'll be surprised if he scores even another 5-6 this season. It seems like he gets one decent chance a match and muffs it - and, in his defence, the decent chances he doesn't muff he gets called wrongly offside for.
  12. Can't get past how they keep talking about our last games as though we were playing Birmingham or Fulham, it's Arsenal away we're talking about FFS
  13. Seriously man piss off. Were we ever going to win this game? No. Bolton was a trial run, these Arsenal games were pre-season friendlies. Our season begins on Saturday. We can still save it. Come on King Kev! (p.s. buy some players...)
  14. Rozenhal is truly terrible, I'd have Barton back over him. The Zog has done a few decent moves but looks totally out of his league at LB and needs to move sharpish. Given looking shaky to say the least - SUICIDAL defending is not helping him. Carr has looked very confident and I'm pleased to see he isn't serving up his usual shite. Smith = anonymous - maybe just as well. We'll get truly thumped this half, maybe end the game 4-0. They don't even look as good as they did on Saturday.
  15. Jesus, how many of you were born with silver spoons in your gobs? Isn't this what we've been dying for since Shepherd took over? Real structure, a proper management setup, backroom staff, competent owners, etc? I'm all for this move forward, I think a Madrid scout taking over as technical director can be nothing but good, he's highly-rated and as you can read in the article we appear to be looking toward a proper academy. I really don't care how short Wise is, or what he did as a player, unlike Barton who he is being compared to he's actually proven himself in his field and his work at Leeds has held them together. Isn't this what Leazes calls "planning?" We researched a candidate for a management position weeks before appointing him. We are building a dynasty here and if KK is to be the figurehead I think we could have worse figureheads.
  16. Should like to see them play some real opposition sometime. Seems this way every year.
  17. "He's shit, no first touch, no awareness, can't stay onside, etc etc just a very fast retard etc." See bolded bit. Not sure about the Viduka part as I've liked a lot of what I've seen from him but Martins has always looked likely to score and selling him will only magnify our problems in front of goal.
  18. At any point do these people read what they write? Or do they just hook up some sort of arse siphon to their keyboards? Utter bullshit, there was no "drubbing" involved and if our lads could just keep their concentration following the interval we might well have got something out of that game. Scoring would've been nice though but we were still decent and need to build on those kind of performances.
  19. Get lost man, you well deserve your "Miserable" tag. Wha? you can see where I predict a 3-0 loss, then complaints about KK after the game. DD has fulfilled the prediction and I'm dismayed at his miserable response although he'll probably try to play it off as sarcasm.
  20. Get lost man, you well deserve your "Miserable" tag.
  21. goalless in what, five games against premiership opposition? soon to be six. please, king kev, save our season - buy a decent striker and creative midfielder!
  22. I might celebrate too if we could score 8 (or 4...or 2...) against the Arse at the Emirates. 3-0 to them, the murmurings about "Keegan's past it" to start immediately following.
  23. Even among a very trashy Spuds defence he's pretty bad and these quotes show what kind of guy he is. Pass thanks. Here's to hoping it's made up.
  24. A £9m signing. People laughed their tits off at Boumsong. All this is coming out of the corrupt Thai's bottom line, I don't think scraping Europe and bombing out to Atletico Plumbers Union will be worth what Sven will have entually spent at this rate. Although I heard some fools were willing to offer a daft amount for their 19 year old centre back. ...What nonsense are you spouting man, this is the worst I've heard from you in months. Get off the ganja. So a £9 million signing didn't work out in England. It's not like it's never happened before. And considering where City were last year I don't think their fans will be turning their noses up at "scraping Europe and bombing out to Atletico Plumbers' Union" as opposed to "getting relegated and bombing out to Plymouth Argyle." Is this just bitterness because Sven's done at City - at least in the short run - what we hoped Fat Sam would do with us?
  25. No doubt at all that Man U or some of the other cheaters would easily get away with this kind of thing. Man U almost certainly cheated to move their Stamford Bridge match last season back to a point where it wouldn't matter any longer, not sure how this is so different.
