Surprisingly positive coverage from Sky Sports actually, portraying it as a symbolic strike at Ashley and Pardew, which is exactly what it was meant to be. Just as well we were winning, since if we'd been losing and more had walked out, we'd never have heard the end of the "fickle fans" line being trotted out. Obviously I only saw it on TV but the atmosphere in the ground sounded really cracking, both supportive of the team and hostile toward the frauds in charge of it. When we scored and it was answered by a chorus of the FCB song, I knew that even the home fans had now had enough of the shit we've been putting up with, so good on them.

So shit he needs to be put in the shop window for a free transfer. -
Rather he didn't stay if he's not going to be committed. He's been just as shit for most of this season - that abominable crab-walk defence against Emnes in the Swansea game is etched in my mind - and we need leaders right now, not guff and uncertain levels of application. Give the armband to Tiote IMO, he always gives his all.

Odds on OP being a BNP-loving sack of shit who gets his rocks off moaning to other miserable cunts in pubs about how the country's gone down the toilet?
-
Bahahahahahahahaha you fucking scum. Howay Palace, this definitely cements them as my second team. All is forgiven, Pulis.

I think he reckoned he'd put in the hard graft today, which he had, and he wanted a goal for himself. At 3-0 it's one thing, at 0-0 he would've been hounded to the dogs and back. Whoop de fuckin' doo, we won. I don't think I've ever cared less about a NUFC win. It was just the tonic for fucking Pardew, who will now ridicule the fans in his interview, if he doesn't dedicate the win to 'Mike.' Fuck off the lot of them, roll on the end of this abominable season.

Fuck off Taylor.

Proving that you actually have to try to make stripes look like shit. Somehow we manage it at an astonishing rate.

Talk is cheap (astonishingly cheap for the bullshit merchants we have running the club.) I can't think of any other owner in the league who'd be prepared to sanction a major spending spree and decide that Alan Pardew was the man he trusted to manage those new players. In the end we'll see how it comes out, but I don't believe a word of this. -
Sad thing is, I can see this too. Cardiff are so dire that we probably have enough in the tank to beat them, and the cracks (chasms) will be papered over. An early goal for Cardiff though and the atmosphere will certainly turn nasty quick.
-
Hoping for a home loss by a considerable amount. We will surely lose to Liverpool on the last day of the season. Why not make it 8 straight? Di Canio was sacked for a "better" record. Surely even Pardew, that slimy cunt, cannot survive 8 losses on the trot.
-
Taxi for Pardew!

Hoping we truly get howked now. 5 or 6 would do. Anything to shift this fuckwit who claims to be our manager.

Doesn't give a fuck like the rest of that shower of shit that wear our colours.

US history in this country is an exercise in self-delusion. Textbooks whitewash it to such a degree that it's ludicrous. I shudder to think how America's history is taught in the 46 states between NY and CA, but luckily we're progressive in New York, and I also have the advantage of teaching mostly immigrants (something like 96% of our school is kids from the Dominican Republic, with the other 4% black - no white kids at all in our 600-strong school) so I'm getting kids who haven't already been brainwashed into thinking Andrew Jackson was a hero or that America has always been a champion of democracy (tell that to Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Nicaragua, Haiti, etc before even getting into the modern era.) Kids here take 2 years of US in middle school (grades 7 and 8), one more in high school (grade 9), and 2 years of global history in 10 and 11 before a class on economics and government in grade 12.

As I'm a history teacher, this is kind of my thing. I love the feudal period of Europe but my real passion is the history of the Ottoman Empire. I spent my honeymoon in Istanbul (somewhere you must see before you die) and was amazed by how well preserved both the Byzantine and Ottoman structures and legacy are there. My day job is teaching U.S. history, however. Not my passion but interesting enough, I suppose.

Paper talk only. I'd go so far as to say Colback will never sign for NUFC. -
Cracking! Nearly died laughing at the wildlings/white walkers, the nervous sheep, the random "twats" floating NW of Lahndan, "shit cats", and "looks like a cock"

I agree with all of David Kelly's list except I don't think Sissoko has been disappointing. I think he's one of the few players we have left who you feel could contribute anything in terms of attacking play. I'm a huge Gouffran fan but there's no denying he's gone completely off the boil as of late. Looks completely disinterested and he's not the only one. Potential outgoings this summer: Remy/de Jong (loans will end), Shola/Gosling (leaving on frees), Colo (has wanted to leave for ages), Ben Arfa (manager doesn't want him and he doesn't want to be here), Krul (plenty of teams could use a keeper of his quality), Debuchy (too good to be playing here at present), possibly Cisse, other fringe players like Taylor/Jonas/Obertan/Marveaux/Amalfitano. That scenario, which I don't even think is particularly pessimistic, would leave us with: Cisse (maybe) Gouffran Sammy Ameobi Anita Tiote Sissoko Haidara MYM Williamson Santon Elliott And that is an XI that would surely be relegated. Investment is needed. The fat man must know that, or if he doesn't, there must be someone at the club who's enough of a man to tell him so. But who? Not Pardew...probably not Charnley...Carr? Wasn't the appointment of Kinnear intended to weaken Carr's position? Is he out of favour with Ashley? Either way the situation is dire.
-
Wouldn't that be something.
-
I want to like The Mag but sometimes I really get the feeling that they like it when things go wrong. There's a bizarre current of masochism running through that Debuchy piece that's a little off-putting. "Looks like Debuchy's off, that's us fucked, this is terrible, why do I have a semi?"

Must be taking the piss with this shit. -
AC3 (way behind the times, I know. I only buy them when they go on 75% off on Steam) & Crusader Kings II. Both brilliant.

I'm always at my most hateful at this time of day. I've just had a full day with the little shits, am done with teaching for the day but can't contractually leave until 3, so I'm stuck here for an hour with no-one to vent to. Thanks for everything, internet.

I fucking despise Liverpool with every ounce of my being. I hate Gerrard, I loathe Suarez, I can't stand Rodgers, the mention of "SAS" makes me want to puke out my soul, and I hope they win nothing for the next 50 years. I'd far prefer Man U, City, Chelsea, or Arsenal. I'd rather fucking Everton won the league than Liverpool. There's a sickening, never-ending wankfest in the Liverpool-preferring media that keeps the pressure off them when they're shit and bolsters them when they're not. "Anfield magic", "European nights", "proper fans", "Liverpool Football Club", all of that shit that none of City, Arsenal, or even Spurs get. Man U got it because they deserved it, not to mention that media outlets were afraid of Fergie. And that's before even getting into what a bunch of tossers their fans are.
