  1. To give us false hope that he might be fucking off soon.
  2. Dogshit football from a poor side. Pardew waiting on another Cisse miracle, that's the only way we look like scoring now.
  3. The hope was to pick up a win v. Stoke or Swansea and let any backing for protests peter out over the international break, but that hasn't happened and I think SPDC will be out in force again against Leicester a week Saturday. Can't wait to see what they come up with given all the time they'll have to prepare.
  4. I think this season is proving that Colo is finished at the top level. He's been rubbish throughout and while I know it was a massive mismatch height-wise against Crouch, he showed no real desire to win that header. It was a perfunctory jump from a player who is in terminal decline. He might just be feeling the Pardew hangover, but I think we need to replace him in January.
  5. That was Bolton away IIRC. Same level of nothing team though. Expecting a loss today. I think that as per usual we will find it difficult to score and difficult to stop from conceding goals.
  6. Back at the bottom after Palace's win. The "two games to save his job" have come and passed and we're propping up the Premier League....
  7. "We've had some great times which seem to have been forgotten recently." Wonder why, Alan?
  8. It's only 9 like, if Sarfampton can do us by 4 I see no reason why Hull can't manage 3-0 away...Pardew may well have beaten the record by Guy Fawkes' Night, never mind Christmas.
  9. He'll be getting the same punishment as the rest of the coaching staff, which is going to be one of two things - the sack, or fuck all. Saturday may well determine which it is. Who will Pardew send to the touchline on Saturday? Dollars to doughnuts says this cunt will get the same dog's abuse that Pardew will. Stone? Woodman? Call Graeme Carr out of the bowels of SJP to yell "hump it long"?
  10. What lies behind the results is a terrible fraud of a manager who has presided over the most thumpings and certainly many of our most pathetic, abject performances, in PL history. All that's saved us from relegation the last 2 seasons has been a 15-goal a season striker to get Pardew out of jail. Now that they're gone, we see the truth about him - that he is a nothing manager, a footballing dinosaur who has lost the respect of both players and fans, and who not only deserves the sack many times over, but for whom it would be an act of mercy. His aspect on Saturday was of an utterly defeated man. I would be surprised if NUFC even picked up another point while he remains in charge. He is plainly finished and everyone knows it.
  11. Because the only thing that makes us happy is Geordies, right?
  12. Too cowardly to face the fans, too cowardly to face the media, even after we've banned everyone who might conceivably pose him a difficult question. Pardew's time is up. I can't see him still being in charge for the rumoured "second game". If he were a man he'd walk and accept responsibility, but if he were a man he would've done that last season.
  13. Wouldn't care if he did the business on the pitch. That's one of the many things that's so grating about Pardew - he's both shit, and an odious cunt. If he were just shit, I could deal with it, kind of like Roeder. If he were just a cunt, like SAF or Mourinho or even Poyet, it'd be OK if we were decent. But to be both is inexcusable. I don't think he'll last much longer. The record shows that when attendances start to plummet, Fat Mike takes action.
  14. I'll be very pleased with a win and grimly satisfied with a loss, since it will push us closer to the inevitable relegation scrap which will probably signal Pardew's demise. If Gouffran plays the latter is much more likely - he has become a total waster and it's like playing with 10 men. Since Cabaye went he's been our weakest link easily.
  15. I think Hugo Almeida is worth a punt given the state of our forward situation. Never going to happen like.
  16. That we paid a financial outlay on? Fuck right off.
  17. I reckon Pardew will soon be dispensed with. Inevitably, when crowd trouble begins to threaten attendances (and thus the flow of $$$), Ashley offers up a sacrifice - before it was Wise & co., then it was Kinnear, then it was Kinnear again, and it'll be Pardew this time, to an explanation of "I backed him and he couldn't fix the problem." But the problem, at its most basic level, as we all know, isn't Pardew. It's that yet again Ashley fails to invest when the moment is right. The signings we made were literally making up the numbers without a main striker, which we never got nor looked like getting. The Ben Arfa thing, that's Pardew's problem, as well as our dire tactics and shit squad management, but he's just another symptom. The root has been the same since 2008 and doesn't look like changing any time soon.
  18. Hull have signed Gaston Ramirez from Sarfampton, maybe they don't need Ben Arfa now. Straws firmly clutched.
  19. We'll probably bring in the Nastasic kid and have him play right-back in cup games. You'd like to think that if we sign a replacement for MYM, he'd be better than Williamson, but even if he were I don't think Willo will be shifted now. He's too ingrained in Pardew's vision of the side: Attacking RB and LB = Janmaat and Haidara Cultured CB and big dumb CB to play set pieces to = Colo and Williamson Water-carrier wingers a la Jonas = Sissoko and Gouffran Tidy centre midfielders = Tiote, Anita, and Colback Midfield playmaker = de Jong (doubtful that one will come off) Flair player I have to play to keep the fans off my back but I'll eventually fall out with = Cabella 15-goal-a-season striker who gets me out of jail every year = ...shit, knew I was forgetting something...
  20. Pardew says we'll make a signing to replace anyone who goes. I strongly doubt that. Good news is not a whisper on the "Tiote going" front...
  21. Agreed. We're not in for him, he's just going to be the next version of Bryan Ruiz/Charles N'Zogbia/Pablo Aimar that we get linked to on deadline day to placate the fans before the excuses of "just couldn't get it over the line", "can't compete with a sovereign state", "tough financial market", "happy with the squad."
  22. There was a fishy smell about SJP this morning and it was the club, rotting from the head. Pardew must go, he's been done since the first time we lost 0-3 to the mackems and he's never ever looked in control since that match. Hopefully we will soon see the return of the charged atmosphere from the Cardiff match - fiercely supportive of the team, fiercely critical of the muppet nominally in charge of it. Cabella was useless, Gouffran doesn't even deserve a mention, de Jong contributed nothing at all, Riviere barely had a sniff, the defence was out of sorts all game and Colo is definitely on the wane. It took an 18-year-old to inject any sort of energy into us and despite a brilliant showing from the young lad, he'll not be able to do that every game. If we're relying on Riviere and Cisse to score our goals, we are utterly fucked, and if something doesn't change soon, we're in for a winter of discontent. Relegation is not out of the question.
  23. Considering we're not likely to get either, I think this is much ado about nothing. Riviere and SDJ scoring our goals is plan A, Cisse is plan B, we remain at 0 net spend.
