  1. Point of clarification, when did Sports Direct start sponsoring NUFC? The club isn't even paid for its billboard advertising for that twats tatty company.
  2. A couple for Alex (and anyone else with decent taste). Claypipe Music releases. https://cafekaput.bandcamp.com/album/shapwick-2

    Gigs 2025

Yes, The Saints had a huge influence on Australian punk and indie music, Know Your Product is one of their classics. Ed Kuepper, the founding guitarist, is well worth looking into if you're into guitar based indie music. His band the Laughing Clowns which he formed after leaving the Saints in the early 80s are great as well but more post punk/art punk. Band season here, NZ Flying Nun legends The Chills next week, with a couple of Thee Oh Sees gigs later in the week. Also deciding whether to go see Mexrrissey, Sir Richard Bishop and Michel Hurley shows later in the month.
  4. Since Remy left us and decided to grow his hair he's looked like and been as useful as a merkin. We would be better off signing Demba Ba on loan from the chinese club he currently plays for - cost us less and we wouldn't be living in hope that he'd grace us with his presence once the job was done.
  5. If they had a striker that could finish his dinner we would have lost by the Man City score. Fat Rob made some decent saves but like Butland last week, he wasn't threatened with anything really challenging.
  6. Bournemouth are not champions league level, so it's obviously beneath him. It's ridiculous how he disappears against less fancied opposition.
  7. Yes, sorry. Though it will never happen in these days of 4-2-2-1-1
  8. That's us fucked then. What's happening with the keeper? Colo playing rush/roman goalie?
  9. Being a lone striker up top and having it lumped at his head by Williamson while being marked by someone a foot and a half taller than him or having to chase down a ball lumped over the opposition defenders while you're in the midfield contributing to the "work-rate" and thus giving the defender 15 metres head start; was never going to allow the lad to shine. He might have found his level but I bet that his Bellamy to Mitrovich's Shearer, he'd score goals in the PL. Though it will never happen in these days of 4-2-3-1
  10. It would give the fourth official something to do as well as holding up the time added on board. In the time wasted by both sets of players surrounding the ref and arguing the toss the fourth official could have a look at a replay and inform the ref whether he's right or wrong. That said Mike Dean was the fourth official so we were as fucked as a makem's sister when her brother comes home for the weekend.
  11. This. I don't get how someone could spend their life trying to excel at something and then at the first hurdle it's all too difficult and they want to return to where they came from. If you're good enough to have made to this level, would you not want to push yourself that bit extra? Mind you Sissoko is a classic example of someone who doesn't understand near enough is not good enough, regardless of what your agent tells.
  12. So it's Back to the Future day is it? Fuck off I'm off to see The Fall.
  13. Girls like it when you're not up tight about those things Scott, get yourself there and try something different.
  14. Not that you probably leave the house these days but Chastity Belt are playing the Think Tank on Monday 19th. http://www.songkick.com/concerts/23849838-chastity-belt-at-think-tank-at-digital?utm_source=1471&utm_medium=partner

  16. They obviously had an old CV of your's.
  17. It was the cancels show in Canberra that gave it away, no?
  18. Yes. I've said all I have to say a page or so back.
  19. Seriously the heartless cunt that currently plays in front of him hangs him out to dry constantly, either holding up the play and then losing the ball or playing a backward pass instead of a quick ball down the wing. Or when possession is lost but Janmaat has overlapped him, he trots back instead of putting in the effort to help Janmaat. Watch how many times Janmaat will sprint past Sissoko to get back when the ball is given away. Last night look at the amount of times Anita was over covering at right back, to either help out or be the first defender there.
  20. Sissoko rolling around on the turf feigning injury in the hope of being subbed just after we've conceded 3 quick goals says it all for me, the team will never improve while we are relying on heartless twats like him. And why didn't Schteve sub Gouffran after the first 20 minutes, it was obvious he was not up to the task.
