Don't know the show you "guys" are talking about but Meenzer makes an interesting point about the difference between English productions and other English speaking countries reality TV shows. When editing shows for broadcasters in Australia or the US of A, we, editors, are forced to make what the industry calls Frankengrabs, so taking pieces from various interviews/scenes, to create the story/drama that the production wants. Next time you watch Married at first sight or some such shite, there are multiple clues to a frankengrab, it will sound slightly robotic, the inflection between words will sound wrong or there will be a lack of natural rhythmn in the sentence - sometimes you get lucky but generally you can hear them. Visually the clues are you will see the person for only a small part of the whole time they are speaking, usually at the start, then they will cut away to reactions from others in the scene, a non-sync wide like the back of that person's head or even exteriors of where the scene is. It's manufacturing something from what is often already an extreme situation the protagonist is placed in. If you are making the same show for an English broadcaster they don't allow frankengrabs - which is the way it should be.

For quite a few years I did some video production for a students with special needs dance group/school and I was always facinated how the students on the spectrum and a couple of them were high needs kids, they would follow the camera person and watch the flip out monitor. To the point they were transfixed by it and they lost any interest in what they were meant to be doing. Because they suffer from such sensory overload, I wondered if there was any worth in studying whether a VR type setup of monitor goggles and noise cancelling headphones, could help ease some of the intensity for them? Spoke to a few people about it but it didn't go anywhere.

For the dog lovers on here, if someone in blighty is showing Muster Dogs, it's worth a watch. Only four episodes a series and the second season has only been released here recently but an observation documentary series about training working dogs.

How(e) do we put this? Eddie is rightly the man for the job but he needs to sort out a plan B and C, if he wants to move both the club and himself into that next level. Yes the players look like they are running on empty but it appears he knows no other way than intensity is our identity. With someone like Rafa, you always knew the team could switch from an initial plan to an alternative, Eddie just hasn't shown this and it is obvious in the way he uses or more precisely, doesn't use, his substitutes. Yes injuries are a huge factor and limiting what he can do but there is no use having players on the bench if they cannot do a job - the Fulham game being an example of playing 10 men, comfortably one nil up and he still waits until the 75 minute to rotate players. Here is hoping he can turn things around but at the moment the wheels have fallen off and no one has the strength to push things home - the lack of shithousery this season is also worrying.
