  1. Rewatching the John Wick movies in preparation for the fourth movie that is allegedly out sometime this year.
  2. Forget the Super League, the pre-season Middle East Cup between PSG, AC Milan, Citeh and ourselves is going to be a cracking league! Maybe we could invite one or two of those debt ridden Spanish clubs and the German champions if they can afford it.
  3. The ultimate revenge and would make Rafa a bigger hero than he already is.
  4. So Burnley just sacked Dyche, watch them appoint Rafa who will get them organised and winning - relegating Everton in the process.
  5. Condolences strawb. Take care of yourself. Mate as HMHM says have a chat to a disabled care professional about your brother. I know from my family that people will struggle and refuse help/alternatives because of the emotion involved. And it doesn't really help anyone, especially someone like your brother.
  6. Always been a fan of Squier's work, although his now attitude to NUFC is becoming predictable and boring but his latest work hits the nail on the head. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/ng-interactive/2022/apr/15/david-squires-on-the-death-of-a-friend-and-the-power-of-football-connections
  7. Don't be silly, it would have already been captured and corrupted in the Fist wank bank.
  8. Plus the problem with the current tech is it is the VAR referee who is judging when the ball contact actually takes place, a thousandth of a second either way and their call can be wrong. BTW I believe the VAR cameras are 100 frames/second, so the margin is even wider for mistake.
  9. They are not huge wages in football terms. But you are correct I was wrong about Gayle, he's on 40k a week!!!!! https://www.spotrac.com/epl/newcastle-united-fc/dwight-gayle-22936/ Clark is on 35k, no one is going to pay these wages for them, so why would they leave. https://www.spotrac.com/epl/newcastle-united-fc/ciaran-clark-15473/ Lewis is on more that I thought. https://www.spotrac.com/epl/newcastle-united-fc/jamal-lewis-31511/ https://www.spotrac.com/epl/newcastle-united-fc/jeff-hendrick-22714/ At least Hayden is on fuck all! https://www.spotrac.com/epl/newcastle-united-fc/isaac-hayden-15450/
  10. I put this in the ASM thread a week or two ago in response to the news articles about ASM being available at the right proce in the summer but yes if you look at the dross and the money they must be on - all guess-timates, we are going to struggle to get rid of a lot of them without actually paying up what is left on their contracts.
  11. @PaddockLad god that must have been forever ago, nice to know I do some good, sometimes. I'm off to see Ed do a show in a small coast town called Milton, Friday week, it will be his first live gig after this news, so not sure how he will be, he's a very dry person (must be the german in him) but I cannot see how he won't be a bit emotional as he's playing songs from his whole career and he loves to do a Saints track or two. It's amazing how quickly they were shunned once they got to England as they didn't look like the London punk, instead they had long hair, daggy clothes but they also come from a place, Brisbane Queensland in the 1970s, where it was a facist state. Where the cops would arrest/beat anyone they wanted and kids listening to loud fast music after 9pm were target number one. If you listen to Gary Crowley talk about them, their influence on the punk sound in England was huge. Probably along with Joy Division and Talking Heads in their prime (before the commercial shite), the Saints are a band I wish I had of had the opportunity to see but I'm that bit too young but I was lucky enough to see Chris a few times and I always make sure I see Ed whenever I can as he never disappoints.
  12. Chris Bailey, lead singer of The Saints, one of the most influential bands of the last 50 years that aren’t as well know as they should be. RIP Chris, always enjoyed your crooning away with a cig and glass of port in one hand, mic in the other. This amazingly was posted by Ed Kuepper, the Saint’s guitarist, over the weekend, prior to the news.
  13. It's a cracking song by Courting anarl. TBH isn't it about time we do away with sports that lead to the death of innocent annimal? There are more than enough bloodsports to bet on that feature human who can make their own choices - plus that cunt Owen is a fan, so fuck'm, shut it all down.
  14. Got the plague thanks to some happy clapping god fearer at work - she was so happy the congregation was back together! Three shots and it's still a cunt, going from shivering to sweating like Gemmill when TT is down, in a heartbeat. At least the fuck off headaches have stopped, it's just a sore neck and general aches. If I go to bed now I should be awaken by the fever by the game kicks off, every cloud!
  15. I call bullshit on this just based on the above. Ten players out and only an additional £60million, that's cunt Ashley level of (lack of) investment, especially when you consider those out are the likes of Gayle, who we will have to give away considering the money he is on, etc, etc. Actually let's look at who those ten (plus) would be and roughly what they are costing us? Dwight Gayle contracted until 06/2024 on £60k/wk? Jamal Lewis contracted until 06/2025 on £30k/wk? Isaac Hayden contracted until 06/2026 on £50k/wk? Ciaran Clark contracted until 06/2023 on £40k/wk? Jeff Hendrick contracted until 06/2024 on £40k/wk? Matty Longstaff contracted until 06/2023 on £20k/wk? Mark Gillespie contracted until 06/2023 on £20k/wk? Karl Darlow contracted until 06/2025 on £40k/wk? Miguel Almiron contracted until 06/2024 on £60k/wk? Fed Fernandez contracted until 06/2023 on £50k/wk? Matt Ritchie contracted until 06/2023 on £50k/wk? Javier Manquillo contracted until 06/2024 on £40k/wk? Paul Dummett out of contract at the end of this season and unfortunately looks like is now a permanent crock. That's a lot of dross on potentially high wages we have to move before we can replace with better. Hopefully Dummett and Fed will retire and there are backroom jobs for them if they are good enough but the rest, with the exception of Manquillo who I would keep but you just know he's on the list of ten. You would also hope Krafth, Shelvey, Murphy and Wood are all listed for upgrade.
  16. But doesn't he have a history of fucking it up and his only real success is the poor woman who was given the perfume bottle that her partner found in a bin after the failed poisioning of the London based defectors? The Guardian has a piece on it today.
  17. Yes it was for best documentary. On the summer of soul, anyone watched American Soul, series about Soul Train? It's a decent watch if you like music in general.
  18. There's footage of Hawkins singing at that last gig and he's chewing gum like a man possessed, so he's definitely found some Colombian marching powder. This is also not good, especially for a man who had been comatosed after a previous OD: Not making light of his death but I bet the Foo Fighters wished they had Shane Warne's PR/Publicity team.
  19. Back to real racing, anyone watch the MotoGP from Indonesia? What a fucking farce that was. Totally new tyre brought to the race that no one has ever raced on, shit qualifying and then a delayed and shortened race because it was tipping down like a monsoon. How is any of that racing?
  20. See Hamilton is another supporter of one of the "big six/seven whateverthefuckitisnow" and is protesting having to compete in SA. Jokes aside, fair dues to the lad but if he feels strongly enough about it, he could have just walked and there is nowayinfuckinghell F1 is giving up a 900M pound deal to race there.
  21. Allegedly Rock has previous with Smith's wife. TBF if I was a documentary maker up for an award, I'd be more pissed off that Chris Rock was presenting it!
  22. Heart attack is the official but being a drummer he would have been a fit bugger so there must have been underlying circumstances. RIP Taylor, good luck with the audition for that super group in the sky.
