  1. All he said was "can you pass a negrito a football"
  2. shocking. The PC brigade obviously think there are no muggers, wife beaters, benefit cheats or drug dealers left in the world to deal with anymore. Stupid old idiot.
  3. You need to look at the players he bought for Villa with that money It was the equivalent of taking out a loan at 50.9% APR and spending it on alcohol to make you happy, good while you are drinking, fucking shit when you wake up
  4. Forgetting £££ for a second, what squad would you swap for the current one? [/Ashleyapologist] How does the squad of players that Ashley took over compare to those that are here now?
  5. Money spent really shouldn't matter. Cabaye, Tiote, Ba, Cisse, Santon, Williamson, Ben Arfa, Krul and Jonas all combined cost about as much as Carroll in transfer fees. Which would you rather have? A few are far too pre-occupied with money spent. Yes Carroll was sold for £35m but we replaced him with a much better forward for free, or we got 2 better forwards for a third of what he was sold for. If we continue like we have done recently we are likely to spend little whilst still improve the team and progress. We will bring in the odd dud but not a single manager in the league (past or present) is immune from that (Djemba Djemba, Veronx2, Jeffers, Torres, Shevchenko, Carroll, Robbie Keane to Liverpool, Aqualani, Forlan, Viana, Luque, trying to sell Alonso and replace him with Barry etc...) Actually someone posted Martin O'Neill's purchases for Villa on N-O, fuck me the majority were abysmal, about 3 that worked out from quite a list and I don't think there was a single player not purchased from the UK.
  6. Still got about 9 in 17 this season didn't he?
  7. Here comes the voice of the Newcastle Online experts. Shame I didn't moan when we were playing in the champions League, and insist the club was badly run etc, like most of the fools on your message board. Not my board, I and many others didn't moan, not like you make out anyway. Pretty sure you have paranoid schizophrenia, not taking the piss, look up the symptoms and see if you think it applies to you.. * Condescension - sometimes the patient may seem patronizing; perhaps they may feel they know stuff other people don't and subsequently assume such a manner. * Delusions - The patient may firmly believe something, even though there is incontrovertible evidence that it is false * Increased consumption of drugs (including illegal ones) and alcohol * A preoccupation (obsession) with at least one delusion. * The individual may also have delusions of personal grandeur - a false belief that they are much greater and more powerful and influential than they really are. * An individual with paranoid schizophrenia may spend an extraordinary amount of time thinking about ways to protect themselves from their persecutors.
  8. Leazes finds another excuse to moan, without looking at the thread I will take a guess that he hasn't positively commented on the Cisse signing? Or if he has it will end in a negative. Boring old man.
  9. Saw this earlier, instantly thought of Leazesmag's posts
  10. Call me unconventional, but I can't see us getting Carroll back on a free, like. No faith!
  11. Well start disliking them then you selfish twat!
  12. You're getting scarier as the years go by boi. was a right grumpy wanker too, couldn't sleep so when my alarm went off I was still up
  13. He was brilliant for us in the second half of the championship and stepped up amazingly well (shocked most) before he was sold. His hype is based on that first half in the premiership where he was just brilliant and bullied many experienced defenders so they just couldn't handle him. Hard to say whether it was just good form at the time or if that was the real Carroll and he has lost his way moving to Liverpool. Just hasn't looked anything like that player since he left. Whether that's homesickness, poor attitude, no longer being unknown (so teams can plan how to defend against him) or just the fact he isn't that good it's hard to say but if we were offered him back for £15m maybe even £10m I would rather we looked elsewhere. He showed us no loyalty as soon as a bid came in so I have no wish to see him back just because he is a local lad. The whole 'Geordie lad, would die for the shirt, do us proud' stuff went out the door as quickly as he did.
  14. Wasn't he on about £40k a week here after he signed a new contract? Doubt he is on 3-4 times that.
  15. Would rather keep Ba. Carroll fucked off first chance and to be honest I would be very concerned about how he would perform if he came back. He looked completely unplayable at times here but there is a chance that was a purple patch and that we played to his strengths due to the players we had at the time. Not sure Carroll would work well with Ba either, Carroll worked for us because he was the main (only) man and everything went through him. Ba is the better player by some distance so we would be moronic to build our play around Carroll again.

    Pet Hates!

Pet hate - animal charities. That one works on a number of levels
  17. Forgot to say, this happened a while back but some lad broke both his arms bench pressing in my gym. Apparently they both just buckled under the weight
  18. Oh dear chap a bath beats a shower every time. (especially a jacuzzi bath, dont you know). What pleasure can be gained from standing up. A bath is one of lifes luxuries allowing you space and time to relax and contemplate. When I was at the other place, the latest craze amongst young men was to shower and then turn the temperature to cold and stand there for a few more minutes! I mean just why? Burns about 100 calories in 2 minutes. Im afraid I need to see a link to proof of this statement. I struggle to believe that standing still for two minutes, however cold burns 100 calories. http://www.menshealt...d-shower-445680 and Taking a cold shower does actually burn calories. Why? The answer is simple. Your body is constantly trying to keep about a 97 degree temperature. Therefore, it has to work extra hard to do this when you are cold. All this work results in the burning of calories. Your body generates heat when it is cold by shivering. This muscle fasiculation produces heat, just like jogging or walking does. It is one of the bodies mechanisms for survival in extreme situations, in addition to dilating the blood vessles in the skin. Another one similar to the first quote - Losing weight with cold showers is possible, according to the 2008 study, "Human Skeletal Muscle Mitochondrial Uncoupling Is Associated With Cold Induced Adaptive Thermogenesis." This means that human brown fat tissue can increase fat burning in response to cold temperatures. One simple way to do this is to take cold showers.
  19. Watched that last week, seemed a bit OTT and weird. Gym did look pretty impressive mind.
