Thats a bit harsh Stevie - they were a big club at the time. they won the european cup, not once, but twice - in consecutive years. they also won and were runners up in other european competitions. they were champions and then runners up in the old first division they also won the league cup not once, but twice - in consecutive years. they also picked up the charity shield. and all this was done in the 1978/1979 and 1979/1980. seasons.
