  1. Are you sure you're not thinking of Andy McNab?
  2. No official exit polls tonight but a number of banks and hedge funds have paid for exit polling (final and hourly) so they can trade around the likely outcome. The FX and equity markets will be a good indication of where we are heading. So far so good by the looks of it.
  3. Voted remain. Everyone I've spoken to at work has voted, or is going to vote for, remain. The only evidence of leave I've seen is the vote leave stickers I've seen in quite a few black cabs. However, given the abhorrent views of a lot of the cabbies down here, I like to think that they are doing their bit for the remain campaign by turning people against leave.
  4. Absolutely brilliant! It's great having Wales, Ireland, and Northern Ireland there too, it makes it so much more enjoyable. I think I celebrated Brady's goal as much as I did Sturridge's. A real shame that Scotland aren't there too. Roll on the second round: England v Iceland, Wales v Northern Ireland, France v Ireland, Spain v Italy, Croatia v Portugal.
  5. I'm banking on most of the leave voters being unable to vote as they don't know how to spell 'x'.
  6. Brexit is as low as 5/4 with some bookies. The odds are tightening. How depressing, Boristan awaits. I really hope the remain campaign have something up their sleeves over the next 10 days otherwise we are fucked. I doubt it though, as they have been worse than useless throughout the entire campaign. Getting rinsed by a campaign spearheaded by Boris, Gove, IDS and Farage is embarrassing.
  7. Buy it now and have a punt on us remaining in the EU. That way any foregone income due to a rise in GBPEUR will be covered by your winnings. Alternatively, wait and have a punt on us leaving the EU. That way, any loss as a result of a fall in GBPEUR will be offset by your winnings.
  8. That's all you could hear on the TV, they're an utter embarrassment, you did well to last the entire match sitting so close to them. I think they were banned from the 2014 World Cup. People might knock FIFA, but they do get the odd thing right.
  9. I think it has been posted somewhere on here already but last month's Telegraph article about 'Michael Owen's Soccer Skills' is brilliant. Owen comes out of it looking like a real sad bastard. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/04/13/well-done-hes-13-revisiting-michael-owens-soccer-skills/
  10. Pity is probably the only appropriate response.
  11. He's definitely from down South, the grammar gives it away. There are thousands of tedious pricks like him here. They tend to support Spurs, Liverpool or Man Utd.
  12. Thank god for Uber. For less than half the price of a black cab, you can get to where you need to without feeling like you've just sat through an audiobook of Mein Kampf.
  13. As I said, HUGE chip on their shoulder about Arsenal. I really do appreciate you proving my point so comprehensively. It really wasn't necessary but, nonetheless, thank you.
  14. Please, I live in London. Nobody is flocking to buy property in Harringey on account of the fact that i) it is a fucking shit hole, ii) it is already overpriced when you consider the squalid conditions and iii) chicken shops outnumber the local population by a ratio of 2 to 1. The fact that Spurs fans would rather drink in the Wetherspoons at Liverpool Street station than drink near the ground really does speak volumes. Basically just a bunch of Harry Ramps with a massive chip on their shoulder about being in Arsenal's shadow. Absolute shit hole, Harry Ramps, massive chip on their shoulder. They're just Sunderland really.
  15. Not having read the books (nor having any intention of doing so), I find it very difficult to follow. I still only know about 5 characters names and they keep introducing new characters and re-introducing old characters. They need to set it up like an EA Sports game where their name and team flashes up at the bottom of the screen whenever they appear.
  16. Every football fan should be delighted with this verdict. Good on the victims family for pursuing this for so long. Regardless of what you think of Liverpool, the way they have relentlessly campaigned against what was an absolute hatchet job is a fantastic example of how to stand up to a corrupt establishment. Just a shame they have had to wait 27 years to get the justice they deserve.
  17. Brilliant from Liverpool, I really like Klopp. Great to see a team giving absolutely everything. If our lot had gone 3-1 down after 57 mins, it would have ended up in double figures.
  18. Aye, you're right, our midfield is lazy as fuck. I don't know what the opposite of gegenpressing is called but they're experts at it.
  19. Our entire season summed up in one half (with the exception of a needless red card). It's panning out exactly as most of us thought it would. No point in getting too upset about, it's just not worth it.
  20. They're probably staying quiet in the hope that nobody searches for their name on the database.
  21. I'm not sure whether this will change anything. I had already just assumed that the tories got up to this sort of thing just like I wasn't surprised to learn that Cameron is partial to a nosh from farmyard animals. I hope this makes those people, who are not well off, but still voted Tory, realise that they are essentially voting for a party who couldn't care less about them. Even worse, a party that is trying to shaft them while taking care of their privileged friends. Sadly, I doubt it will make a difference.
  22. We deserve to get relegated for that defending alone. All started from another cheap free kick too.
  23. We love giving away a soft free kick, they're as thick as pigshit.
  24. I think we can all agree that Avon Barksdale is complicit in all of this.
  25. Riviere? His only league goal came as a result of him tripping over the ball.
