I'd take Matejovsky and/or Jem Karacan from Reading in a heartbeat. Mate is too good to be effective in that side, whereas Karacan is looking like he'll be a cracking player in a few years time.

Tbf, Plymouth play anti-football on a godawful pitch in a frozen shithole. I'd expect to put three past them at SJP.

Was at the Reading game. Brilliant football from Reading, a real joy to watch. Clear penalty denied about 5 minutes before the first goal. Liverpoo were shite though. Take away Torres and Gerrard and you have a very ordinary team. Also, the away end was like a library for the entire second half. Dire plastic support, obviously all the fair-weather fans who have never been to Anfield made the commute to the stadium.

Good to see everyone has been enjoying their new year's! The girlfriend and I went out for a meal and then walked up to the Glastonbury Tor for the countdown. Could see all the firework displays on the horizon, and some people had brought a few up to the top of the hill too. Fantastic.
