  1. We can say it's bullshit, but if it says it's "various" that would suggest there's some truth in it.
  2. Errr, F-Zero - Mute City music I believe. Classic.
  3. Then again it wouldn't surprise me to see Vaughan getting a century in one of his three remaing innings this series (and get out for single figures in the others) and everyone will be talking about what a genius he is with the bat etc. Maybe that's a bit optimistic though. edit: de Villiers gone. 4 wickets for Freddie now.
  4. No-one else can bowl with such intensity. Vaughan, Collingwood, Moores and Miller are all just hopeless and need replacing. All true.
  5. How come? Not sure how Cook is at fault for our poor performance when he top scored.
  6. Eh? I was being saracastic. We were crap. Cook batted very well though. It's a shame he can keep getting fifties but not convert them into big scores. That said, he's not the problem. Vaughan failed yet again and some of the batting was just stupid.
  7. Another certain player to sign for us from Deportivo springs to mind.
  8. tbh, I'm glad he's been given another chance as we're short of players and I reckon he could be a useful player if he continues his good form from the end of last season, however this must be his final chance. any more mischief and he should be gone, regardless of the club situation.
  9. Will be good to see him sign. No doubt comparisons will be made between him and another French defender to play for the Toon, whose surname begins with a "B" and ends in "song".
  10. Sounds terrible. Hope for his sake it doesn't have a bad effect on his career and my thoughts go out to their relatives and friends.
  11. How good is this guy? It sounds like a lot of money to pay for a defender who hasn't played over here before.
  12. Sounds terrible so best wishes to him and the rest of the family. That said, are we sure we can trust it? Wasn't the car hijacking apparently made up, and it was one year ago, not two years?
  13. Not sure. I was thinking that also, but I think I had that mixed up with N'Zogbia.
  14. Definitely, but 23 is very young to lose your mother and he is our player so it's understandable also.
  15. Don't think she was ill. .COM saying it was "sudden". RIP she may have died suddenly, but she could have been ill for a while before. didn't Martins get in trouble with the Nigerian FA or coach or something for not reporting to international duty because of he wanted to be alongside his mother?
  16. RIP. His mother's illness may explain why he was so disappointing last season.
  17. Doncaster sign Ameobi: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ter/7516900.stm
  18. I'd be tempted to play Read but he shouldn't bad above 8 for now and Flintoff shouldn't bat above 7 also. I think looks good but Sidebottom should be back and deserves a place, and maybe Vaughan should drop down the order if it suits him better. Also, the Stuart Broad situation is an awkward one - not good enough with the ball, but he batted superbly again today and it would seem harsh to drop him after that knock.
  19. Ambrose gone. Played well but needed a lot more than 36. Match will probably be over today.
  20. Cook and nightwatchman Anderson bat very well together. Anderson survives a brave onslaught and is out for 33 (can't blame him really). Pietersen comes to the crease and scores 13 off his first 4 balls and gets out similar to how he got out in the first innings. We're still 180-odd behind with 5 sessions remaining in this Test, which we'll need to bat out. I'm not feeling confident with other two remaining "recognised batsmen" - Ambrose and Flintoff, who has just returned from a long spell out and hasn't batted well for England in ages.
  21. I reckon, out of that list of teams, it's going to be one of Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal.
  22. I dunno, but he's heading the ball off the top of his head to be fair.
