  1. Fuck off. It was lighthearted because I like Jones a lot being a Kent fan and I have his autograph, but his time as an England keeper is over. Still, are Ambrose and Prior really much better?
  2. Statistically 9 out of 10 people enjoy gang rape. (apologies if done before, but you can make do with it for a second time)
  3. He averages around 13 which is alright but he's frequently the not out batsman. His highest score is only 28. Ideally the number 9 should be able to play more shots and look more composed at the crease, but he's hardly useless with the bat. Monty shouldn't be above 11 tbh. Flintoff shouldn't bat above seven, but we need a genuine batsman at number six because Ambrose is no way good enough. Broad can bat a bit but I'm not too impressed by his bowling. Just think how bad this team looks compared to how it did a week ago.
  4. Whereabouts in Tunisia did everyone go? I went to Sousse. Now that was a dump.
  5. Where's the newspaper article about how rejection looms again for Spurs and what a mess they are? Not seen it yet, so I guess it only applies to some teams.
  6. I don't see this bowling attack taking many wickets now Sidebottom isn't playing. Love to be proven wrong of course.
  7. Well I'm worried about England's ODI future. We aren't great as it is, and a lack of longer one day county games isn't going to help that.
  8. Have fun in Tunisia. Went their last year - it's a strange country. Remember people there will instantly call you "my friend" and have no understanding of the word "no" when trying to sell you something (even when you weren't at all interested in the shop/stall in the first place).
  9. do journalists ever think "I look like a right twat" when they write this kind of drivel?
  10. Twenty20 is not shite though. Not only is it good entertainment if you can only watch for a short time, but it does require a lot of talent and useful tactics that can be brought into other forms of the game. What is wrong with it being "slog cricket" anyway? If it's just mindless slogging, then it's pretty impressive players make rapid centuries when only one mistake can get you out. That said, I much prefer Test cricket, which is also exciting and more engaging. The issue is, is it really under threat? In this country, I'd have thought cricket moving from Channel 4 would have had a larger impact on its popularity than Twenty20.
  11. Same here. The bowling attack lacks the pace and aggression Harmison provides. I have to admit I wonder if Broad will end up staying in the team for his batting, because I'm not too impressed by his bowling so far. He'll only get better mind.
  12. Cracking game that. Indeed. So epic and enjoyable, despite those random battles. However I can't beat the last boss at the moment, despite finding every other boss really easy. I'll assume it's because I'm at such a low level.
  13. Got a Wii a couple of weeks ago. So far only got multiplayer games, but I'll get Zelda and Mario. I got a bundle with Super Smash Bros Brawl, which I find very disappointing in single player, probably because I played so much on the Gamecube. Got lots of Gamecube games to replay though - just played almost the whole of Skies of Arcadia Legends, probably because I have no life. Wii still great fun and a great laugh in multiplayer of course.
  14. Is Jo Caulfield that really irritating woman often on Mock The Week? Have to admit she irritates me and I don't think she's funny, hard as she tries. I generally think females on these programmes try too hard to be funny by trying to be contraversial and rude and they generally fail. Same with a lot of males of course obviously, but the regulars on MTW I find very funny.
  15. tbf, is there a funny female comedian around? In fact I don't think there's many comedians who can be really funny all the time and not just in small periods. I like the regular comedians on MTW and was very annoyed I was unavailable to see Frankie Boyle twice when he came nearby (pretty rare for someone of his stature), as he was apparently hilarious.
  16. we don't want squad players, we want players to improve the first team. Woopey fuckin do since when was guthrie signed instead of a player to improve the first team? fact has it we need players as our squad is so thin. maybe we can judge keegan's aspirations on september 1st and also judge guthrie after he's actually been given a chance to prove himself... we bought loads of squad players last summer, surely we don't need more squad players ? We did? Who?

  18. why does it matter so much? he'll only be a squad player and if he's there to add depth to the side his signing can't be too bad a thing to happen.
  19. I take it you're not a big city person? I used to live in Bristol and think it's a great place. It's got bad areas, but is probably the "nicest" of the country's biggest cities. However if you don't live in a nice area there you still may like it for the city centre, nightlife, entertainment etc. Same with Nottingham where my sister has just finished university - seems to love it even though it's got a very bad (and probably exaggerated) reputation. I don't think you'll find many places that are consistently nice in the UK. In my view, a lot of it is about your emotional attatchment to the place. I live in London so I must be something of a big city person. I can only go by when I've been to Bristol for football - admittedly there are far worse places but I've never been too impressed by it and the accent is horrific. Also, Bristol City's fans in particular are right boring cunts. With Nottingham the same goes. The reason I pinpointed them were because the title of the thread stipulated cities in England, I could go on forever naming towns etc I've been which are shocking. Fair enough. Too many of those towns to name really. I don't think there's many places in this country I've been to I might like to live in tbh, and there's very little of this country I've visited. One place I've never spent much time is Kent, going by old boundaries I have as South East London was Kent, and that's where my sister lives but actual Kent I haven't. Passed through Dover plenty times mind, but one of my good work mates is born and bred in Swanley, which is actual Kent, and he says most of Kent is a wank hole, Maidstone, Dartford, Gillingham although he says the best thing about them is there's not as many foreign cunts as a lot of other places. Am I right in assuming you've noticed where it says I'm from? Your mate is right sadly. There are some nice towns (Canterbury where I live of course, Sevenoaks, Whitstable, Tunbridge Wells...) however even then they aren't particularly exciting places to live in. Most of the towns are pretty dreary. Dover is a dump and it has quite a few immigrants actually so I'm told. Margate is just another tacky old seaside resort that has declined and is pretty horrid now. Most of the Medway area is very dull and Sheerness-on-sea has to be the worst of a bad bunch. There's other places that aren't much better but I don't want to bore you. Didn't think Maidstone's meant to be that bad but then again I've never been there iirc. That said, while it's certainly not as posh/rich as some would have you believe, I still like living in Kent and the Canterbury area in particular, but I guess that's normal.
  20. Geremi and N'Zogbia both scored on free-kicks last year. But we still need to improve that area. So they did - poor memory. Last time someone could take free-kicks well though was when we had Solano in his penultimate season here.
  21. He's pretty good at free-kicks tbf, which is something we need as we haven't scored directly from a free-kick for the last two seasons (?). At the very least, adds depth to the squad.
